Matthew 7:21-23 (King James Version)
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
brothers and sisters, let us examine our relationship with Christ. he is the one who makes intercessions on our behalf.
the persons in the above scriptures will list all his/her works that were done for the kingdom of God. but God will reject them because "I never knew you". the almighty God is lowered himself in likeness of a man so we might find boldness to approach him, and have a relationship. why do we forgo this pleasure? for works? for pride?
how much time do we spend each day at the foot of God, whether in our closet or in our hearts? how many hours do we "waste" because we simply cannot bare to stop gazing upon his face? take a page out of mary's book brethren. while her sister was busy about the house she just sat at his feet. GOD IS NOT FEEBLE! he promised to bless us, just give him the time of day. why spend hours flipping through profiles looking for the one, when Jesus came and went couple thousand years ago! a relationship with God will open up doors for YOU. just spend some time with him, try to see his face in your brothers and sisters and enjoy his company every where you go. life is not a picnic, but with Jesus in the ship!! i cannot tell you how much troubles come my way, but i survive because of his face, if he would only take his eyes off me i would literally die because it is the only thing that MAKES anything. where do we find time to pull each other down? that time should be spend making our calling and election sure. not flexing our muscles on how much scripture we know, and how good we can interpret it. God said that he would put the words in our mouths if ever we are to speak! he qualifies the call!
