Arminian prayerPosted : 15 Apr, 2010 05:52 PMthe prayer was meant to Illustrate a point. That point being that if we come to god 100 percent by our "free will"Then we play an active role in our salvation.Follow the logic. That would mean we would share some merit for our faith because, after all,it would not be possible without our coming. And we had something our unsaved nieghbor did not.there are thousands of verses throught the entire bible that say othwerwise |

Arminian prayerPosted : 17 Apr, 2010 10:00 AMI never heard Mark say that sunsay worshipers have anything to do with the devil. Did anyone else? Mark seems to be a solid christian who rarely mocks his brothers in christ. |

Arminian prayerPosted : 17 Apr, 2010 04:28 PMNo, my belief is that people who don't follow God as best as they can will have the mark of the beast. In the end, with all the plagues and signs everywhere...there will be no dispute that God exists. It won't be evolutionists or pagans persecuting Gods people. It will be the "Christians" that are following traditions of men instead of the commandments of God, and those "Christians" will receive the mark of the beast. It would be the same if they kept all of God's commands except "thou shalt not covet", or "thou shalt not steal". I believe the Sabbath is a command of God, and I believe when God calls His people together in the last days...that He will make it obvious that He wants us to follow His commands instead of "doing what we want" or "doing what is convenient". That doesn't mean that people who truly thought they were following God as best as they could before God "calls His people" will end up in hell...but when God "calls His people out" in the last days...I believe He's "calling them out" of something...like error...or false teachings...and I believe He will be calling us all back to keep all the "commandments of God" and to have the "testimony of Jesus". Back into one fold instead of 33,000...or whatever it is. I also know full well that He could be calling me out of error...and I pray we all hear the call...but this is what I believe. What do you believe will happen to me if I continue being a so-called "legalist that believes I saved myself"? Don't you believe the same thing, just with a different twist?? |

Arminian prayerPosted : 17 Apr, 2010 04:37 PMI think maybe you missed it Dennis...because I have spoken out against it. Not in the "you're going to hell if you do it" kind of way though. I believe that as long as you truly believe you're truly doing God's will...then it doesn't matter at the moment, but I do think there is a tiny bit of error in Christianity...and I do believe God will be calling His people out of it in the last days...and I believe we should probably listen if we're around then. Me included. |
