But I do not think Jesus did so. Since we are Christians we should follow His example. But the question remains did He teach us to love our neighbors as ourselves. If not what did He teach us to do. I would challenge anyone on the site to prove to me that Jesus did teach us or his disciples to love their neighbors as they love themselves. Please be careful the obvious answer is not so obvious if you read the scriptures properly and they do bring our a great revelation. Pluc Post Reply

Instead of having to keep a list that's easily just kept outwardly...we have to use the principles of God to literally change our hearts and our attitude toward our fellow man. Anyone that thinks it's easy isn't trying hard enough, or they're a innocent child:laugh:. What Jesus is saying that if someone walks up to the person you love the most in the entire world...runs them over with a car and then shoots them in the head for looking at them the wrong way....you STILL have to love and forgive that person. That's a lot of love. It's easy love people that love you, or to love people that you can tolerate...but you also have to love people that persecute you, and hate you, and walk on you, that nail you to a cross...you still have to be able to say "Father forgive them" through all that....and mean it.
