But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. Moonlight, how many of us have tried to help you understand that a public forum is open to the public. That means the public is free to participate with anything you post—-it’s that simple.
On a public platform such as this one you don’t get to tell certain members of the public “to get lost” as you do so frequently.
Nevertheless, if you’re not currently secure with your own set of beliefs and you’re not comfortable when other people disagree then you should consider posting your thoughts and opinions on your own protected private messaging.
Based on the current state affairs with regards to those who are easily offended and those holding fragile opinions, it would be easy to find other people like yourself who are equally insecure with what they believe. Maybe you could even get an exclusive chat room set up for those like yourself who desire only positive vibes as feedback. 😇
Moonlight, what did Handyman say that was so offensive? All he did was to graciously offer constructive advice for FreeToBe so she could get her point across more effectively. You and FreeToBe should be thanking him. 😇

LD REPLY: You’re angry but that’s ok, totally understandable but there’s really no need to express yourself in vulgar terms. Like I said, allow yourself to chill and then try posting at a time you can confidently think more clearly.
FREETOBE SAYS: You obviously have issues and you can't just let the forum be for everyone and trust people can decipher for themselves.
LD REPLY: You and I may differ on how we approach dialogue and how we share our ideas on the forum but we must allow our differences of approach to flourish. Ideally we can discuss freely and debate vigorously but you need to accept the fact that others are just as free as you to express themselves even if differently than you.
FREETOBE SAYS: If you really wanted to help others and be christ-like you would lovingly and gently post what you believe to be the truth and leave your insults to yourself.
LD REPLY: In all due respect, your behavior and comments here seem to undercut the biblically based understanding of what it means to be “Christ-like”. If I have unfairly insulted someone I will gladly apologize but you need to be specific about where, how and when you think I insulted someone.
FREETOBE SAYS: But you don't, and it's every single post,
LD REPLY: “Every single post”??
FREETOBE SAYS: and it's ruining this forum,
LD REPLY: Your talking about “self-importance” but you seem to know more about how to better run someone else’s forum than they? (Ie cdff) Who’s being self-important here? Maybe you ought to try setting up your own forum site and show us how it’s done.
FREETOBE SAYS: and you don't care because you're self-important, selfish, immature, not even sure if you're Christian because even Satan knows scripture.
LD RELPY: Ok. You were under duress and frustration when you posted but perhaps by now you’ve had time to reflect on what you’ve posted. It’s all fine. You’re welcome to share your heart.
FREETOBE SAYS: You sure can't tell that you're a Christian by your actions on this forum.
LD REPLY: Some of the kinds of fallout that occurs during emotive outbursts seems to take place when we allow our feelings to over rule our more rational senses. In those circumstances we tend to pass unfair judgments against those of whom we perceive to be our enemies. At this moment we must try to recognize the value of diversity. Just because others might express themselves differently than us doesn’t mean they are our enemy.
FREETOBE SAYS: There's always a couple men on any of these forums that think they have to correct everybody saying they are doing it for the love of God's word because they know better than anyone else, all you sound like is a clanging cymbal.
LD REPLY: Once again, you ought to allow others the opportunity to discuss their thoughts—their way—even when they don’t always agree with or say all that you want or need them to say. We all have ways that may frustrate others from time to time but that’s just the human experience. Nevertheless, at some point you’ll have to learn, in your own way, how you’re going to accept that fact of life
The main take away for you to grasp is this: If you can’t defend what you believe in a rational relaxed manner then maybe you need to change your current set of beliefs. On the other hand, if you are intentionally disciplined and equipped intellectually to defend your beliefs you will, most certainly, come across as more secure with all that you believe.
The end result—you’ll be confident and skillful with defending your beliefs and others will be more confident hearing what you have to say AND you won’t get rattled when someone doesn’t agree.
