The meaning can easily be narrowed to a person who is a “wasteful spendthrift”. Hint number 2. Clues and definitions that are used in the context that are clearly inherent from listening to or from reading the parable. Hint number 3. Which son, in the context, is clearly shown to be a wasteful wondering spendthrift (prodigal)? Post Reply

First, you say people should not read the words of men just the words of God. Yet you write the words of a man (assuming you’re a man) and expect other people to read them. But based on your own nonsense, I should not read your words because they are the words of a man. For some reason you continue to not understand how foolish you sound. Worse yet, you’ve deceived yourself into thinking you’re being “empowered by the Holy Spirit”. But the truth is, no one truly empowered by the Holy Spirit of God will say the things you say that are contrary to the written word of God the Holy Spirit inspired in the first place. Please stop blaming the Holy Spirit for the nonsense you make up in your own mind You should take the following verse seriously Isaiah 55 verses 8-11 8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,neither are your ways My ways,”declares the LORD. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. 10 For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return without watering the earth, making it bud and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat, 11 so My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it. Maybe there is hope that the Holy Spirit will actually lead you into truth, and to actually study the Word of GOD Almighty and leave the gotquestions and other sites alone. Dave, the Holy Spirit does empower people to understand the Scriptures and to see in them what others are not able to understand, that is called REVELATION, which you believe there is no new revelation today.
