However, the Bible records many accounts of wars, battles, and the use of weapons. Warfare is presented as an inevitable part of living in a fallen world (Mark 13:7; James 4:1), and weaponry is a necessary part of warfare. Weapons in the Bible were also used for personal protection. In some parts of Israel, robbers were common (see Luke 10:30), and many people carried weapons when they traveled. Carrying a weapon for self-defense is never condemned in the Bible. In fact, it was mentioned in a positive light by Jesus Himself on one occasion (Luke 22:35-38) Christians are called to submit to governing authorities, and they are to obey the laws of the land (Romans 13:1-7; 1 Peter 2:13-17). This would have to apply to gun laws, too. If American gun laws change, American Christians should submit to these changes and work through democratic means toward any desired alternatives. The Bible does not forbid the possession of weapons, and neither does it command such possession. Laws may come and go, but the goal of the believer in Jesus Christ remains the same: to glorify the Lord (1 Corinthians 10:31) Post Reply

Like David is sneakily asking for sources now from you, when its CLEAR ONLY his sources (ONLY they have ordained 'philosophy' in them!) that are good and approved of by father CDFF of the biblical forum! Right? Even if David is mistaken (though he will not admit) its ok because his 'bible' says we will keep on sinning until the cows come home (resurrection day), so like a good little cathoholic (in doctrine) David does the mass repentance thing everyday! Like wise I have a REAL LIFE, work to do, a ministry, of people that actually RESPOND to Biblical subjects and discussions in person and therefore have little time to play 'gatekeeper' of the forum 24/7 like Moon! Just think how blessed everyone is here when they come on the Biblical discussion forum and they are bombarded with page after page of Moon HOGGING up all the thread subjects in selfishness! Right? What's hilarious also is like when Moon and David disagree about the 'once saved always saved' CULT doctrine, they walk on eggshells ignoring each other mostly, what they believe and treat each other differently than other posters because they are from the same police dept. for the forum here!!! LMBO! Too bad this thread is not titled 'mouth control', because then we could use it to help others to NOT become like Moon and David as a witness! Post Reply
