Confessing and forsaking sin, is being free from sin: Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Do the verses somehow say free to sin in anyone's eyes or they say free FROM sin ... John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. Romans 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. Romans 6:20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
