Is that what is missing in the discussion right here ? Somebody also said, to ask God into the heart to have sins forgiven. Also they said, believe and confess and be saved. A question was also, how Romans, details how to be saved, when Christ in the Gospels had saved us already, and Romans then would need to reaffirm the Gospel, and be examples of the Apostles fulfilling all the path of Christ. So, beginning in Deuteronomy 29, regarding inviting Christ into our heart, and calling on the name of the Lord to be saved/believing in our heart unto righteousness, as per Romans 10. The Lord had not given a heart to perceive to Israel, no eyes to see with given to them, or ears to hear with. Isaiah 35, explains how that will change with the Gospel of Christ, as the eyes of the blind shall be opened and the ears of the deaf shall hear.. Deuteronomy 29:4 Yet the Lord hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day. Isaiah 35:5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Now looking specifically in Romans 10, it is testified, whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Then says, they call if they have believed. Then says, to believe they must be hearing, ( to hear we know they must be given ears to hear with, the same as believing, must be given a heart to perceive with. )... Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? How important then, and essential is knowing Psalm 145, how the Lord is near all who shall call upon Him, TO ALL WHO CALL UPON HIM IN TRUTH... Psalm 145:18 The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. What else are we told about truth, and the calling on the Lord ? How, the Spirit of truth, the world cannot call the Lord in, as the world CANNOT RECEIVE THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, as that is the Spirit of Christ, needed to be in us, to SEE HIM AND KNOW HIM, to call in truth to the Lord to be SAVED WITH.. John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. Ending on how right or wrong this worlds presumption to claim they know the way to eternal life, which is hidden, here it is again told anyway. The fact the deceiving spirit is not destroyed yet, means it teaches lies in Gods name. But, the blood of Christ gives the way to enter into the Holiest, to draw near with the faith of Christ, Christ sprinkling our evil conscience to be purified, to hold fast the faith without wavering, and to not assume Christs position for ourselves, as the one and ONLY SHEPHERD, thinking they can say invite Christ into the heart, but the Shepherd speaks against the liar spirit, that He alone seeks out HIS SHEEP, and our role as sheep is told, it is to encourage one another to love and good works, but the deceiver seducer spirit, thinks it can save anyone and show itself as if it is God.. 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Ezekiel 34:11 For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. Hebrews 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: James 1, shows how the deceivers argument collapses, has hypocrisy and emptiness in their deceitful reasonings, and without remembering or caring about the word of the Lord. To ask for the Lord in faith, has to be without wavering, or nothing is received. How can you ask the Lord to receive you, if you have no faith to ask with ? Where does faith show it comes from, by hearing and by the word of God, how do you hear without ears GIVEN to hear with.. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Simple explanation from Christ, and did the disciples have faith to know the mysteries of Heaven, or we can simply read, they never knew, but Christ gave them that perception/ability to believe, AND, the rest cannot ever know perceive or believe, as testified, TO THEM IT IS NOT GIVEN.. Matthew 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. Post Reply
