Which do you believe in? Do you believe that God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit share equal authority or do you believe in the eternal submission of the Son?

A woman has a specific role and a man has a specific role. God made it that way. I don’t see the place where mutual submission in marriage specifically is taught.

mutual submission is where the prayers are hindered for being highminded, not humbled, and for being bitter through considering themselves any better..

1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and AS BEING HEIRS TOGETHER of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

Father, Son, Holy Spirit are One, three persons in One inity working together.

God word says man is head of his household. Not the woman. Christ is head of Man .

Many households are not Christian and don't follow Bible.

I said mutual submission, Quiznos. How did you get that a woman wants a man under her from that? Mutual submission means no one is above or under the other.

Moonlight, the Bible also says God is the Head of Christ.

quiznos, I can tell you where references are.

We look forward, not backwards as the unfaithful do.

Then in that forward, there is neither male nor female, only the dead look back..

Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Ivy, this is from Ephesians 5 verses 1- 33

There is nothing in this section of the Scriptures that says a man is to ( hupotasso ) come under his wife.

Yet, this does tell the man to love his wife as Messiah lives His bride, and tells how this love is to be lived out.

The living example we have is Yashua.

1 Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children;

2 And walk in love, even as Christ also loved us, and gave Himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor.

3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, do not permit it even to be named among you, as is fitting for saints;

4 Nor filthiness, nor foolish talking or jesting, which are not becoming; but instead, thanksgiving.

5 For this you know, that no fornicator, or unclean person, or covetous person, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

6 Do not let anyone deceive you with vain words; for because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience.

7 Therefore, do not be joint partakers with them.

8For you were once darkness; but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,

9 (Because the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

10 Proving what is well pleasing to the Lord;

11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them;

12 For it is shameful even to mention the things being done by them in secret.

13 But all of these things being exposed by the light are openly revealed.

14 Therefore He says, "You who are sleeping--wake up, and arise from the dead! And Christ shall shine upon you."

15 So then, take heed that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as those who are wise,

16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

17 For this reason, do not be foolish, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit:

19 Speaking to each other in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and offering praise to the Lord with your hearts;

20 Giving thanks at all times for all things to God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 21

Submit yourselves to one another in the fear of God.

22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord;

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the Head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

24 For even as the church is subject to Christ, in the same way also let wives be subject to their own husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your own wives, in the same way that Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it; 26 So that He might sanctify it, having cleansed it with the washing of the water by the Word;

27 That He might present it to Himself as the glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it might be holy and without blame.

28 In the same way, husbands are dutybound to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself;

29 For no man has ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord does the church.

30 For we are members of His body--of His flesh and of His bones.

31 For this reason shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery; but I am speaking in respect to Christ and the church.

33 Nevertheless, let each one of you love his wife even as himself; and let each wife see that she reverence her husband.

1 Peter 3 verses 1 - 7

1Likewise, you wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, even if any are not obedient to the Word, through the behavior of the wives they may be gained without a word, 2Having witnessed your chaste behavior carried out with reverence; 3Whose adorning, let it not be the external adornment of braiding the hair, or wearing gold jewelry, or dressing in costlyclothing; 4But let your adornment be the inward person of the heart, manifested in the incorruptible jewel of a meek and quiet spirit, which is of great value in God's sight. 5For in this way also the holy women of the past who hoped in God adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands; 6Even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; and you are her children, if you are doing what is right, and are not frightened by any intimidation.

7Likewise, you husbands, dwell with your wives according to knowledge, as with a weaker vessel, giving them honor as women, and as joint heirs of the grace of life so that your prayers may not be cut off.

In the verses posted by Quiznos, I see nothing about the husband submitting to the wife. The only mutual submission I see is in the general Christian community. Once the focus switches to marriage...
