As Believers , Our Salvation liberates us from the penalty of sin because Jesus canceled our debt at the Cross. There is no more guilt (Romans 8:1) kjv

True freedom is more valuable than any earthly possession.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness. 2Timothy 2:16

Moon,

Could this be your understanding of freedom.

Moon posted on another thread,

Churches are a Worship place for those who trust in God.

Unbelievers are Everywhere , even in SOME churches.

Or on Christian internet.

As Believers our old nature should be replaced by a Spiritual healthy one.

Let's try to decipher this.

1. Churches are a Worship place for those who trust in God.

Quiznos; Hmmm, so you believe in freedom, yet believe people need a building in which to worship, is that not bondage.

The GOD of the heavens and earth, He does not dwell in buildings made by mans hands.

Believers worship anywhere they want, as they are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

2. Unbelievers are Everywhere , even in SOME churches.

Yes Unbelievers are everywhere on this planet, that is why Messiah says;

18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Why then do christians meet in a building.

3. As Believers our old nature should be replaced by a Spiritual healthy one.

How can a person REPLACE their OLD NATURE.

Hmmm, maybe GOD Almighty has an exchange program called New lives for old.

Maybe man is able to barter with GOD Almighty, maybe their good outways their bad.

Moon, i believe you have a wrong understanding of the nature of man, and the Word of GOD Almighty.

This stinks. I wrote a reply and it's gone and disappeared.

Quiznos, to be fair, "As Believers our old nature should be replaced by a Spiritual healthy one.", does not necessarily mean that the replacement must be done by the believer.

Then how does a person get a REPLACEMENT nature, and what is a replacement nature, that one is new to me.

The Bible talks several times about the old self passing away and new self being created when you become a believer.

When a person trusts Messiah, He gives that person eternal life, a new heart ( meaning something that never existed before ), and a new nature.

The believer is not given a new mind, Be being transformed by the RENEWING of your mind.

Believers put off the old character, attitude, personality, and sinful habits, this happens as GOD Almighty sanctifies the believer, thru tests, trials and tribulations in this life.
