When you pray does it feel like Jesus is right there with you, listening to your prayers?Posted : 25 Jul, 2020 10:32 AMI know that whenever I close my eyes to pray I always feel Him right there with me, and He's hearing me. And every time I always hear that still small voice in my heart, saying "I love you my child." . |

When you pray does it feel like Jesus is right there with you, listening to your prayers?Posted : 27 Jul, 2020 09:11 AMMoon, nowhere in what I posted in specific topic has anything to do with my prayers for a wife. It's a question about prayer in general and whether or not you feel the Lord with you while you pray. Yes, I know God has heard me, but the Bible says that we should pray without ceasing. You say no one is judging, but saying that I'm going by feelings and not faith, you don't think that is judging? You or anyone else here probably doesn't want to choose to believe this, but I am walking by faith. Jesus is with me when I go to Him in prayer. And that feels good to me. And before you all start going off on me about feelings again, let me just tell you that there is nothing wrong with feelings. As long as you don't walk by them, which I don't, then there's nothing wrong feeling angry, happy, sad, the Bible says that there is a time for those things. As long as you don't sin while you are feeling those emotions, and as long as you give glory to God while you go through them, then having feelings and those emotions are fine. For an example, say you watch the news and you see all this violence going on, it makes you worry, it makes you scared, it makes you sad, it makes you angry. Let's you live around all of this stuff that's going on and you decide to go out there fight them back, even though you're not a police officer. Then let's say instead you decide to go to a quiet room somewhere and you start praying for God to watch over you, for this country and for the lost in this world. Which one, to you is the right option? Which of actions do you believe is driven by feelings and which one do you believe is driven by faith? And this question isn't just for Moon, it's for everyone. |

When you pray does it feel like Jesus is right there with you, listening to your prayers?Posted : 27 Jul, 2020 12:20 PMMoon, what exactly is wrong with posting on a dating site forum about wanting to find a wife? It's like you are offended by me wanting to be married. If that's true then maybe you should start evaluating your own life. God said it is not good for man to be alone. And the Bible says that he who finds a good thing. Why Moon, do you continue to fault me for saying this? What is it that you have against me? I have nothing against you. I just don't understand what is causing all of this, and I would like to know. |

When you pray does it feel like Jesus is right there with you, listening to your prayers?Posted : 27 Jul, 2020 10:21 PMi need to respond to john 10:27,28 one of the elders of our church cautioned us not to read one or two lines and think we understand. You need more...the whole story. Verse 6 tells us that 6 Jesus used this figure of speech, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them. --- he is talking about sheep, but he really means MEN and when the sheep know His voice, it means that we know right from wrong. The entire chapter is one of Christ's stories to make people understand. In no way is He saying that when we pray, He is whispering to us. |
