Parehtban: We are only born again through the Living Word of God. So start reading the New Covenant and start with the book of John and you must be willing to forsake your many sinful pleasures and seek God with all your heart amd pray that you can understand the eternal truths in God/s Word. If you in your heart love your sinful pleasures amd believe you can still keep some of sinful pleasures after you become a Christian. you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven just as the majority of churches that now follow Satan. Unfortunately you grew up with a church that believed you can be assured of the Kingdom of Heaven if you attended church and accept Jesus as your Savior; and still live with many evil and materialistic pleasures. If you are really serious you will want to help the poor rather than you worldy pleasures.
I Peter 1:23-25: For you have born again, not of perishable seed, but the imperishable, through the **LIVING AND ENDURING WORD OF GOD**. For all people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of the Lord **ENDURES FOVER**!!
Hebrews 11:1,6: Now **FAITH** is confidence in **WHAT WE HOPE FOR** and assurance about **WHAT WE DO NOT SEE**!.... And without **FAITH** it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He **REWARDS THOSE WHO EARNESTLY SEEK HIM**!!

Like I asked Quiznos, where are these "laws" or "rules" you speak of found in the Bible? If you are going to judge me, then why not give me Scripture to show me my 'sinful' ways because I dont even know what that word 'sin' means and its definition! Like I told Quiznos, I was 'saved' LONG ago from my filth and dirtyness the preacher told me! Now I live the happy life because all my dirt and ugliness is gone! Im saved long ago from past, present and future "sins" they told me and I dont even know what they are??? I guess I must be confusing you with to many questions like when the "sin" thing started like adam and eve and todays modern adam and steve's you see so many of today and more everyday. So forget that, lets get back to the BIG question I asked you, ok? Its the classic well known Bible verse by pretty much everyone, found in John 3:16 I first posted about and asked you ... "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
I keep seeing you substitute "unbelief" for "sin" in your posts as if they mean exactly the same thing and THAT is my question - WHAT is this "sin" and "unbelief" found in the Bible? Where is it found? Is this "sin" thing like breaking a law, much like if I was to run a red light I would be breaking that law and be punished with a fine??? You see when I was very little tike, one time I felt VERY dirty, I remember in church and could not put it off any longer, went forward to respond to the preacher calling for "sinners" to come forward to be "saved" and so I did! I remember vividly I felt a HUGE relief and felt so clean after crying my eyes out to the big guy upstairs the preacher called "God" and all things felt NEW after that! I knew I was "saved" or "cleansed" from the guilt inside but what was it, no one said specifically but just called it the old "sin" word thing and it did not matter I guess, I was "saved" now and was going to heaven when I die and Im for ever "saved" of all my past "sins", present "sins" and future "sins" and now I follow this "Jesus" that is in heaven to live a happy life. You mentioned the ten commandments and I THINK I found where they are written in the Bible. Is it Exodus 20:3-17? Because you never answered me where they are found! What does these ten commandments have to do with me being cleansed from "sin" or "unbelief" as you call it? I thought I was already "saved" from my filth and dirtyness they told me long ago! I started from the beginning with Adam and Eve,where mans sinful nature had its beginning, when Adam and Eve had sinned ( missed the mark ) because they did not believe what GOD Almighty had spoken to Adam about the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil.
GOD Almighty showed His love for Adam and Eve by promising that He would send His Meschiach or Messiah ( Genesis 3 verse 15 ).
The Commandments & the law would come later as Yahweh would give the Commandments to the people thru Moses ( Exodus 20 verses 1-17 ) and then the law Exodus 21 thru 23
In Genesis 19 verse 8 the people said they would do EVERYTHING which the LORD( YHWH ) had spoken. In Exodus 21 thru 23 we have the law( s) these are about daily living.
Parehtban: Many false prophets like Joyce Meyer and Benny Hinn teach that believing in Jesus is just accepting him as your Savior and you do not have to believe all the commands of Jesus. All the Satanic preachers give the same invitation: Accept Jesus as your Savior and all your past and future sins are forgiven and you have a sure ticket to heaven even if you fall away or continue in your same worldly life. I went down this sawdust trail 2 times and quickly fell away to lead a selfish worldly way of life.. I assumed that you were not a born from above Christian when you stated that you were recovering from a drunken binge.
I Corinthians 6:9-11: Do not be deceived, Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor **DRUNKARDS** now slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God. I John 2:1-6: Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins... We know that we have come to know Him **IF** we keep His commands. Whoever says, "I know Him," but does not do what He commands is a **LIAR** and truth is not in that person. But if anyone**OBEYS HIS WORD**,love for God is \truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in Him!!
Matthew 13:23: Jesus says, "But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the **WORD AND UNDERSTANDS IT**. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."
Luke 8:15: Jesus says, "But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the **WORD**, retain it, and by perseverance produce a crop."
Revelation 17:14: They will make war against the **LAMB** will overcome them because His is **LORD** of lords and **KING** of kings and with Him will be His **CALLED** **CHOSEN** and **FAITHFUL** followers! {Riding on heavenly white horses right after the Marriage Feast of the Lamb as per Revelation 19:7-21}
Woah woah! Where did I say I was drinking alcohol dude??? My friends and I drink lots of coffee and pop and for me I get this kind of hangover from all the partying and fellowship, ok? So tell me, do you think a BELIEVER is no longer a believer when they commit a little wrong and then supposedly lose their salvation? Really? You seem to imply that if a initial BELIEVER "falls away" or goes back to the "same worldly life" as you call it, they will lose their salvation? Really? Have Scripture for that teaching? So what are these "commands of Jesus" you state are what it is all about and where are they found in the Bible? Are they different from what Paul wrote about in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 you posted? I want to know about these "rules" or "laws" to know if I have kept them or need too, ok?

You said Adam and Eve had sinned and missed the mark and now I'm thinking did they break some kind of written "law" I cannot find in Genesis in the first few chapters?
