Does a person need to believe in the doctrine of the trinity in order to be saved?

Hi 123,
Welcome to the hmmm forum.
I see you posted the scripture the christians use as a formula when they dunk a person underwater, yet do not understanding the depth of what Messiah had spoken.
The word ' YOU' (singular) is implied in this general order from Yahowah Sabaoth or LORD of Hosts to his servants.
18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority( exousia - right and might ) has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 “Go therefore and make disciples( learners ) of all the nations( ethnos- unclean ones, gentiles)
baptizing ( immersing) them into the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
123, we know the name of the Father Yahweh and the SON, Yahshua, but what is the name of the Holy Spirit?
20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age ( ion ).

Naw! Of course you don't need to believe in the "doctrine of the trinity" because its JUST NOT in the context of the Bible that there are 3 Creator "persons" when the Bible says there is ONLY ONE Yah with "parts" to Him! Namely His set apart Holy Spirit and His set apart WORD He put in the human flesh and gave it a name Yah'shua.
I guess you have to ignor 28 books with verse(s) then that say there is ONLY Yahuwah in order to believe the "trinity" thing.
Duet. 4:35,39; 6:4; 32:39. 2 Samuel 7:22. 1 Kings 8:60. 2 Kings 5:15; 19:15. 1 Chron 17:20. Nehemiah 9:6. Psalms 18:31; 86:10. Isaiah 37:16,20; 43:10,11; 44:6,8; 45:21; 46:9. Hosea 13:4. Joel 2:27. Zechariah 14:9. Mark 12:29-34. John 17:3. Romans 3:30. 1 Corth 8:4-6. Galations 3:20. Ephesians 4:6. 1 Tim 1:17; 2:5. and finally James 2:19!
Quiznos, not sure what your point is in quoting Luke 23:39-43 to Silver? But I agree with him we should study the WHOLE Bible to discover the complete salvation message, as well as coming to correct doctrine on the "trinity" thing, like the many verses I gave above! Not just pick out a few verses and READ INTO them! It helps to have common sense reasoning also! Come let us reason together says YHWH!
Speaking of NOT understanding the context of Scripture, there is the verse 43 in Luke you quoted! Its interesting to note that MANY take that verse to read the x-thief went to heaven/paradise that day he died, claiming punctuation is inspired! NOT SO! They base their whole doctrine on the placement of a comma??? LOL! Lets look at a couple of translations but there is more of course.
Luke 23:43 ABPE "But Yeshua said to him, “Amen, I say to you that today you shall be with me in Paradise.”
Luke 23:43 AKJV "And Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you, To day shall you be with me in paradise."
First of all Yah'shua the Messiah did NOT go to heaven/paradise until 3 days later, that is a Biblical fact! So for the MANY translations that have the comma in the wrong place, are in effect calling the Messiah a liar! Have you ever thought about that?
Looking at the 2 translations above again, we see that without the comma in one of them we can come to the TRUTH in what Yah'shua the Messiah was saying to the forgiven x-thief now! The WAS a thief, is now being comforted and ASSURED that he WILL be in paradise/heaven come resurrection day because the x-thief dies THAT day, sleeps in the grave and Yah'shua does NOT go to heaven that day but 3 days later anyway! Both of them go to hell to sleep that day but at different times they are resurrected from the hell-grave. For the x-thief its come judgment day that he is raised to life, for the Messiah its 3 days later! Ok?
Sooooo if anything it SHOULD be read as - And Yah'shua said to him, Truly I say to you today, shall you be with me in paradise.
Another words Yah'shua is just ASSURING the x-thief that he would be with Him, see Him come resurrection day! The x-thief sleeps

Wow! So prophetic7744 posts everywhere on the forum accusing me of drinking alcohol! I want to be clear I do not! So to Prophetic7744 I say....
Prophetic7744.... Woah woah! Where did I say I was drinking alcohol dude??? My friends and I drink lots of coffee and pop and for me I get this kind of hangover from all the partying and fellowship, ok? Some of us buds are semi retired while others are retired, we like to go out to Colorado and have a wonderful time to PARTY in love and fellowship. Got it now? We always abide by the laws of the land where ever we go and do! Why all the judgment in assuming I was living 'sinful pleasures' or "recovering from a drunken binge" from alcohol??? Im no "**DRUNKARD**" as you imply and judge! Do you think I would be like "christians" today that drink alcohol, or like the ones drunk I noticed doing so when I was growing up? Really!
What's up with attempting to apply 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 to me? I'm neither a "thief, nor greedy, slanderer nor swindler etc! Im washed by His blood and sanctified, justified in the name of the Lord Jesus in verse 11! Ok? I was "saved" when I was young and went forward in church in tears, felt dirty and accepted the FREE gift of salvation and NOW Im clean! I was told all my past and
future "sins" were forgiven because I came forward in church and to this day I don't even know what those "sins" are! Jesus will NEVER forsake me or leave me because I'm saved!
I think everyone knows about false teachers like Joyce Meyer and Benny Hinn as well as others that are fake, dude! How they teach you can do major bad things and still go to heaven. So tell me, do you think a BELIEVER is no longer a believer when they commit a little wrong and then supposedly lose their salvation? Really? You seem to imply that if a initial BELIEVER "falls away" or goes back to the "same worldly life" as you call it, they will lose their salvation? Really? Have Scripture for that teaching? So what are these "commands of Jesus" you state are what it is all about and where are they found in the Bible? Are they different from what Paul wrote about in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 you posted? I want to know about these "rules" or "laws" to know if I have kept them or need too, ok?
I want to follow Jesus and keep the "commands" he kept, ok? So can you finally show me where they are found in the Bible???

Parehtban: Sorry, when you said you were recovering from to much partying I wrongly assumed that alcohol and not Coffeel was the main culprit. I have never claimed that some one born from above can lose their salvation. I believe those who fall away were never saved in the first place even though they were promised heaven by false prophets if they accepted Jesus as their Savior'
John 6:37,39,44,65: Jesus says, "**ALL** that the Father gives Me **WILL** come to Me, and whoever comes to Me I will **NEVER** drive away... And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall **LOSE NONE** of all that He has given Me, but raise them up at the Last Day.... No one can come to Me **UNLESS** the Father who sent Me **DRAWS HIM**, and I will raise him up at the Last Day!!... No one can come to Me **UNLESS** the Father has **ENABLED THEM**!!"
Ephesians 2:8,9: For it is by **GRACE** you have been saved, through **FAITH**—and this **NOT FROM YOURSELVES**, it is the **GIFT OF GOD**—not by works. So that no one can boast. For we are **GOD'S WORKMANSHIP**, created in Christ Jesus to do **GOOD WORKS**, which God prepared in advance for us to do!
Revelation 17:14: They will make war against the **LAMB** but the **LAMB** will overcome them because He is **LORD** of lords and **KING** of kings and with Him will be His **CALLED** **CHOSEN** and **FAITHFUL** followers!! {Riding on white horses right after the Marriage Feast of the **LAMB** as per Revelation 19:7-20!}
John 14:21,23: Jesus says, "Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he is the one who **LOVES** Me! He who loves Me will be **LOVED** by My Father, and I will **LOVE** him....If anyone **LOVES** Me, he will obey My teaching. My Father will **LOVE** him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him!!"
I John 2:1-6: Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins... We know that we have come to know Him **IF** we keep His commands. Whoever says, "I know Him," but does not do what He commands is a **LIAR** and truth is not in that person. But if anyone**OBEYS HIS WORD**,love for God is \truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in Him!!
Matthew 13:23: Jesus says, "But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the **WORD AND UNDERSTANDS IT**. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."
