I've seen a lot of people here talk about Paul. Some speak for him, some against him. Yes, I understand we shouldn't put Paul above God, but we also shouldn't exclude his teachings from our lives. Because, yes he may have just been a man, but he was a man that God used, just like God used Noah, and used Moses, his teachings were not just his, but also God's. God gave us the teachings through him. And because of this, if we are christians we should apply those teachings, as well as the rest of God's word to our own lives. In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.

Thank you! Any help with this will be very much appreciated. I've searched through all the writings of the Apostle John for context and can find no use of the word "Trinity". I even looked for where John might mention a three quasi form-matter compound or three coeternal consubstantial persons or hypostases. I could find nothing.
Looking forward to you supplying me with the proper context showing John had a formulated Trinity in mind when he wrote John 1:1. Thanks brother!

Lil David - Debating? Maybe speculationing. But that's not the point. Perhaps you misread my comment. The point is I said the Trinity doctrine wasn't formulated and accepted by the Church for another 400 years. (technically closer to 250 years) I stand by that still. Nevertheless, you said straight out concerning John 1:1 "in context" it means "Trinity" please help me out here. What context can you show me that proves the Apostle John meant "Trinity"?
