My husband is a church goer and I am not for certain reasons. He wanted me to accompany him so I did..albiet , reluctantly. We sat in the car afterward and discussed the experience and the sermon. Our mutual first impression was that they have an idol mixed in with the church. It was superbowl discussion first off and at the end they mentioned a big screen experience watching it in church! Oh boy!

Wonder who paid for that??? No wonder they took double collection plus the opening of the sermon had to do with how to budget your finances!
Of course it tied in the bible and Yahuwah's word which had to do with meeting and setting goals.
When I got home, I said to my husband as I looked at the church pamplet for that week.
"Oh, oh..."
"What ?" he answers.
I proceed to tell him about the "Transformation" series already in progress and part of the sermon we just sat through.

Oh, please don't misunderstand! No, I am not converting or compromising. I went there to study my husband during the service and have something to comment on afterwards. I can't stand modern churches for the most part. Chris was ready to walk out during the opening of the sermon because it was about money and football. I asked him to wait it out because I knew there was more and I wanted my husband to get his fill of the message preached before the actual sermon. Kinda like this:

I can see your point but I can also see my husbands desire for the Lord and truth. He is very much into prayer and we pray continually all day long during various moments. I can see his love for Yahuwah. He never takes credit or steals worship. He gives it all to Yah. He even prayed for the Lord to show him what car to buy. It's great on ice and snow as he found out as he is a delivery driver. I would have thought a VW would have been better on snow than a Toyota . It has front wheel drive. -- small and steady wins the race! We took a trip to Lake Osage and passed car after car either off the road or flipped on their side on the grass . Of course Yah kept us safe but the car was a good pick also .
We are watching the Chosen series on our tablet . The App is free if you download it and other people have paid for you to watch it and if you feel the desire to make it available for others to watch, you "pay it forward" and then others all over the world have access. I love the series. In episode 2 titled Shabbat,, members are celebrating the Sabbath together in Mary Magdalen's house and then the scene cuts to Nicodemus gathering with the other Pharisseas in another location and saying the same prayer: "You have lovingly and willingly giving us your Shabbat as an inheritance in memory of creation ...." Which begs the question , do we really NEED a church building? the Pastor I heard last week said they took out a huge loan for it. They are only half way there on getting it paid for. Proverbs says owe no man. Jesus preached outdoors in His Father's creation where you can feel the wind which you can't see but know it is there like God Himself before He was in the flesh.
I have cried so many tears watching that show. One of my favorite is episode 3 - Jesus loves the little children.
I have a new respect for apostle Matthew as a publican tax collector working for Rome. I just love all the characters. Very well made series.

Only those churches which give a large amount to the poor should be **TAX-EXEMPT** Unfortunately very few churches give a large amount to poor especially those churches that preach the **PROSPERITY GOSPEL**

Acts 2:44,45: All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to everyone who had need!
I Corinthians 10:31-33: So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the **GLORY OF GOD**. Do not cause anyone to stumble, even as I try to please everyone in every way. For I am not **SEEKING** my own good {Like the PROSPERITY GOSPEL}but the good of others!
