Chuckk, Quiznos, Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Jesse DuPlaintis, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagen, Sid Roth, Pat Robertson and many many other false teachers (or deceived people) not only claim to hear direct from God just like the prophets of old heard from God but some even claim to do miracles in the name of Jesus! But do these people really hear from God and are miracles taking place as in the time of Jesus?
TOTH, I’m not in the habit of immediately discounting experiences of those of whom I’m not a witness.
Nevertheless, I compare your experiences to those found in scripture.
The long line of those who were actually spoken to by God, seem to be related to or proximate to the inspiration of scripture. Or they were related to prophetic utterances and actions of those belonging to or proximate to the Messianic line.
Job being at least one possible exception. But notably in Jobs horrific experience, he had no verbal input from God until the very end in which God expressed some pointed displeasure with some of Jobs words. But Job was restored with even greater blessings than before
Also, in the Bible, God or a holy angel actually speaking directly to specific people was an extraordinary rare occurrence.
Nowadays however, it’s “happening” all over the place!!
Today, one would think God is just “telling people” all kinds of stuff—it’s as if god is finally loosening up a bit and is more talkative these days or it’s like he forgot to mention a few things in the original Bible draft and must re-edit the original draft by revealing more (“words of God”) scripture to individual people.
People actually think they are being inspired of God to hear and receive divine messages/utterances like Moses and the prophets.
Some of this extremely bad teaching has been perpetuated by the “Experiencing God” books by Henry Blackaby.
I believe any person thinking to hear God speaking directly to them is guilty of adding to the words of God’s already secure and sufficient revelation.
It’s like God’s Word is not really enough.
The rich man in hell asked Father Abraham to send Lazareth back to earth to reach out to the rich mans brothers so they also wouldn’t end up in hell.
See Luke 16
The rich man thought Lazareth’s resurrection would shock his brothers into repentance.
But Abraham said they >>have the scriptures<<, if they don’t believe the scriptures they >>won’t believe<< even if someone rose from the dead. —See Luke 16
All of Jesus’ miracles proved that very thing! Many people in that day refused to repent no matter how many miracles they saw!! Perhaps the rich man was one

Job's experience with God speaking from the whirlwind was very profound. God was reminding him who "I AM" is, and in a manner similar to we have seen God approach man before. Namely, when He is with the Hebrew people watching over them as a pillar of a cloud and a pillar of fire. Taking up Elijah as a Whirlwind, or during Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came as a Mighty Rushing Wind.

The thing is, when God approaches us, it is harmonious with scripture. God's Word is always our measuring stick. If someone is trying to sell you holy water, then we know to toss it out. If someone is speaking Truth, then we listen with our spiritual ears and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us. At the same time, I believe it important to realize that God is personal, and there are times He will treat as as an individual.
I in today's world it's hard for people to hear God like they could then. But I know God does speak to His children. Sometimes He will do it through a song. Sometimes He will put something on someone's hearts or minds to pray for them, or talk to them. Sometimes He puts a scripture on our minds. But in this noisy world we are living in it's hard to hear Him. There's so many distractions that can keep us from serving Him and from hearing His wonderful voice. But we must try to remain faithful to Him. Trust in Him. Because He loves us, and one day His children will be called home.
There are some like Chuckles and Quiznos who claim that God has allowed His Word to be **CORRUPTED**??? so we have to wait for God to whisper in our ears???

John 14:21-24: Jesus says, "Whoever has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me... Anyone who loves Me will obey My teaching, My Father will love them, and We will come to them and make Our home with them.. Anyone who does not love Me will not obey My teaching. These words you hear are not My own; they belong to the Father who sent Me!" {See Deut 18:17-19 above}
Acts 5:32: We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given **TO THOSE WHO OBEY HIM**!"
Luke 6:46-49: Jesus says, "As for everyone who comes to Me and hears **MY WORDS** and **PUTS THEM INTO PRACTICE**. I will show you what they are like. I John 2:3-5: We know we have come to know Him {Jesus} if we obey His commands. The man who says, "I know Him," but does not do what He commands is a liar and the truth is not in him. But if anyone **OBEYS HIS WORD**, God's love is truly made complete in him!
Matthew 4:4: Jesus says, "Man does not live on bread alone, but on **EVERY WORD FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD**!"

I warn everyone who hears the **WORDS OF THE PROPHECY OF THIS BOOK**: If anyone **ADDS** anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this Book {Including **ETERNAL HELL**in Rev 14:9-11} And if anyone **TAKES WORDS AWAY** {Like Chuckles and Quiznos} from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the Tree of Life and in the Holy City {The New Jerusalem}, which are described in this book."
Quiznos and Chuckles claim that God has allowed His Word to be corrupted so you can not believe any of God's promises or New Covenant commandments???
John 16: Jesus says, "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the Truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify Me because it is from Me that he will receive what he will make known to you!"
And holy spirit inspired the 8 writers of the 27 books of the New Testament to write everything Jesus told him to write!!
THE GREAT COMMISSION: Matthew 28:18-20: Jesus says, “All authority in heaven and on ***EARTH*** has been given to Me {Not some RC Pope}. Therefore go and make disciples of *ALL NATIONS*...teaching them to **OBEY EVERYTHING** {The entire NT} I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very *END OF THE AGE*!”
Please note that Jesus told his disciples to obey everything I have commanded you which would be the entire New Testament. Jesus dis not say to obey everything that I now whisper in your ear. Jesus also said that it was an unpardonable sin to **ADD WORDS** or **TAKE WORDS AWAY** from the words that I gave you in the book of Revelation as per Revelation 22:16-19 above!!
John 12:48: Jesus says, "There is a Judge for the one who **DOES NOT ACCEPRT MY WORDS** {The entire New Testament}. the very **WORDS I HAVE SPOKEN** will **CONDEMN THEM** at the Last Day!"
God speaks to some people through His Holy Word! God speaks to the Believers Heart. God sometimes be used other people to speak to someone if they will listen !! God moved and works in the lived of people today!
The Holy Spirit is moving in those who Believe and trust in Jesus.
We are nit living in OT times but God never changes.
If any person wants to “hear” God speak directly to him or her then read and study the Bible. This is the only way God has chosen to communicate his will to his people today.

The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
I repeat Luke 16. Abraham did not indicate in any way shape or form encouraging the rich man’s brothers to listen carefully to voices of unknown origin telling them to repent. Instead, Abraham simply pointed out the sufficiency of scripture to warn and enlighten the brothers.
The Rich Man and Lazarus
19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

Many people think unbelievers will repent if only the see miracles, see dreams or hear voices.
Many believers think they need to hear voices to guide them in their daily lives, yet no scripture informs the believer to listen to such vioces.
There is no biblical mandate urging believers to practice tuning in to voices either going off inside their heads or voices from thin air. To suggest otherwise is to assume the Bible is not sufficient to address all of a believers spiritual needs.

I encourage anyone who believes the Bible teaches us to listen up to voices speaking to us from out of nowhere to produce scripture indicating this was a practice condoned in scripture to the church.
I realize someone might quote Jesus speaking to his disciples about the Holy Spirit teaching them after his departure. But this verse clearly speaks to the guarantee of Holy Spirit guidance inspiring the NT writers
Since you are such an expert on GOD Almighty talking with us,and judging people; why not show from the scriptures ( not someones book you read ) how GOD Almighty spoke with people, then ask if GOD Almighty stoll speaks with us today.

Ummmmm Chuckk or asst pastor Quiznos, that would be impossible to do, use WRITTEN Scripture to prove anything according to you and TOO YOU! You go only by the "Oral Torah of Y'shua" today and not the written Bible. For you say the Bible today is a "slow-eating cancer" to use! Right!?

David, could it be possible others are inspired to speak with us and how would we gauge that what they speak as true?
Chuckk seems to agree with her and "inspires" us that we only need the "Oral Torah of Y'shua" today and not the written Bible by his obvious statements below. He seems to think we listen to this "spirit" from with in ourselves, claiming it to be "Oral Torah of Y'shua" today.

If GOD Almighty were to speak with you,Davey,Toth,cakie, and pan,to tell all of you that chuckk and i are two, too, to different people living at opposite sides of America, you would not believe that. Why,because it is not in your bibles.
