And holy spirit inspired the 8 writers of the 27 books of the New Testament to write everything Jesus told him to write!!
THE GREAT COMMISSION: Matthew 28:18-20: Jesus says, “All authority in heaven and on ***EARTH*** has been given to Me {Not some RC Pope}. Therefore go and make disciples of *ALL NATIONS*...teaching them to **OBEY EVERYTHING** {The entire NT} I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very *END OF THE AGE*!”
Because "Truth" is sometimes subjective to your desires, otherwise why would God say he would give them strong delusions that they should believe a lie. The scriptures speak of itching ears. IF you have a love for the truth and seek it , it will be found eventually.
Take for instance, many people read into the scriptures and make it all about what they will get almost as if God is a genie in a bottle or the Host of the Price is Right.
OH!....I should add, you have to READ the scriptures and not go to church only to be spoon fed the Word. He is just a man and may not be led by the Holy Spirit.

Last I remember Jesus was head of the Church and His word is above His name. Psalms 138:2
