Marie Sinclair, Countess of Caithness, in her 1876 book Old Truths in a New Light, states: “It is generally, although erroneously, supposed that the doctrine of the Trinity is of Christian origin. Nearly every nation of antiquity possessed a similar doctrine. St. Jerome testifies unequivocally, ‘All the ancient nations believed in the Trinity’ ” (p. 382).
The Roman Catholic Church was the first church to believe in the Trinity and even says that the holy spirit is **CO-EQUAL** with the Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Unfortunately many Protestant churches also believe that the holy spirit is God and **CO-EQUAL** with the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
However, Jesus is called **GOD** 7 times in God's inspired Word and **LORD** over 200 times. Whereas the holy spirit is never called God or Lord in God's Word and many Scriptures show that our Lord Jesus Christ has complete control of the holy spirit! Since Jesus Himself baptizes all new believers with the holy spirit and Jesus told the holy spirit what to inspire the writers of the New Testament what to write as per :
John 16:12-14: Jesus says, "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he the spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He **WILL NOT SPEAK ON HIS OWN**; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify **ME** because it is **FROM ME**that he receive what he will make known to you!!"
Luke 3:16: John the Baptist said, "I baptize you with water. But One who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. **HE** will **BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT** and fire!!"
And in the eternal New Jerusalem in Revelation chapters 21 and 22 the holy spirit is not even mentioned once. And there will be only **TWO THRONES** in the eternal New Jerusalem for the Father and for the **LAMB** Jesus Christ as per:
Revelation 22:3: The throne of God and of the **LAMB** will be in the city!
Revelation 3:21: Jesus says, "To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne!"
Zech does not even believe that our great God and Savior Jesus Christ is God or our Savior??
**BUT WHAT DOES GOD'S WORD SAY**
**IS OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST OUR GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR**??
John 20:27-29: Then He said to Thomas, "Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe!" Thomas said to him, "My Lord and **MY GOD**!" Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed!"
Isaiah 9:6: For unto us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor and **MIGHTY GOD**!
Matthew 1:20-23: The angel of the Lord said to Joseph, "Take Mary home as your wife because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She is to give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus which means **GOD IS HELP**, because He will save His people from their sins. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet {Isaiah 7:14 above} "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and they will call Him **IMMANUEL** which means **GOD WITH US**!
John 1:18: No one has ever seen God, but the One and only Son, who is **HIMSELF GOD** and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made Him known!
John 14:6,7: Jesus says, "I am the **WAY** the **TRUTH** and the **LIFE**. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you really knew Me, you will know the Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have **SEEN HIM**!"
Matthew 28:18-20: Jesus says, "**ALL AUTHORITY**in heaven and on earth has been given to **ME**. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations... and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always!"
**JESUS CHRIST, OUR GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR**
NOTE: Jesus is called the **LAMB** 30 times in the book of Revelation!
Revelation 5:13,14: Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, an all that is In them, saying "To Him who sits on the throne and to the **LAMB** be praise and honor and glory and power for ever and ever!" The 4 living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and **WORSHIPED**!
Revelation 17:14; They will wage war against the **LAMB**, but the **LAMB** will overcome them because He is **LORD** of lords and King of kings--and with Him will be **HIS** **CALLED**, *CHOSEN** and **FAITHFUL** followers!!
John I:1-4,18: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the **WORD WAS GOD**. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was Life, and that Life was the Light of all mankind...No one has seen God, the **ONE AND ONLY SON**, *WHO IS HIMSELF GOD** and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made Him known!
Titus 2:13,14: We wait for the **BLESSED HOPE**--the glorious appearing of our **GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR**, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify a people that are **HIS VERY OWN**, eager to do what is good!!
