Repent from your sins and receive the Holy Spirit now.
Sin leads to death, receive the Power of the Holy Spirit and overcome your sins. Not one, but all. Ask the Lord to reveal your unseen sins. Always be ready to learn and improve.
We all should be conscious of when under conviction of sin that we don't use a diversion such as humor rather than admitting our actions, choosing to change our mind about what we've been doing, making any necessary amends and implement a path of change to eventually achieve the right actions.
And so according to Zecharyah a sense of humor is also a diversion and a sin. However we really need a sense of humor when we hear that you are saved by your good works!!
There are many diversions people use to avoid personal repentance; denial, humor and the greatest is the judgment of others. It is a twisted form of self righteousness; where the individual focuses on false or true faults in others then compares themselves to them.
Can you imagine a Christian who tears others down to feel good about themselves? Such a Christian will be a constant judgmental gossip, slandering others in the body of Christ all to avoid making a soul searching judgment about themselves leading to repentance.
I John 1:8-10: If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. **IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST AND WILL FORGIVE OUR SINS** and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned we make Him out to be a liar and His Word is not in us!
Luke 11:1-4: The **DISCIPLES** asked Jesus, "Lord teach as to pray." Jesus replied **TO HIS DISCIPLES**, "When you pray, say: '**FATHER**, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our **DAILY** bread. **FORGIVE US OUR SINS**, for we also forgive everyone who sins against
us!'"
James 5:16: **CONFESS YOUR SINS** to each other and pray for each other!!
Galatians 6:1-3: Is someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore him gently... Carry each others burdens, and in this way you fulfill the **LAW OF CHRIST**!!
I John 2:6: Whoever claims to live in Him **MUST** LIVE AS JESUS DID**!!
Zecharyah: Do you **LIVE AS JESUS LIVED** If not you must **CONFESS YOUR SIN**? **REPENT OF YOUR SIN** and **ASK GOD TO FORGIVE YOUR SIN EVERY DAY**
I Thessalonians 5:17,18: "**PRAY CONTINUALLY**; GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU IN CHRIST JESUS!!"
Zecharyah, **DO YOU PRAT CONTINUALLY AND GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES**?? If not you need to **CONFESS YOUR SIN** **REPENT OF YOUR SIN** and **ASK GOD TO FORGIVE YOU OF YOUR SIN EVERY DAY**!!
**IF WE DO NOT ASK THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND REPENT OF OUR SINS GOD WILL DISCIPLINE US**
Revelation 3:19: Jesus says, "Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline, so be earnest and **REPENT**!!"
Hebrews 12:5-11: Do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He chastens **EVERYONE** He accepts as a son! Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as His children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined--and everyone undergoes discipline--then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in His holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it!

Looks like you got the CATHOLIC version masquerading as a Protestant bible.
Your quote:
James 5:16 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective [a]prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
If you don't use the NASB, then it says the same as your translation!
You will see people like Dr. James White promoting the NASB and NIV which are catholic doctrinal books but claims the KJV is catholic in source (which is isn't! Tyndale translated it , then prior to that it was Erasmus then prior to that is was Jerome -none of them used the Latin Vulgate which is a Catholic source... but you can do a google search and look who promotes White's books and they are Jesuits or Roman Catholics like Geisler who endorsed Whites book on the cover. So Dr.White debating with Catholics is a smokescreen. He leads the opposition!! Why would Dr. White slander a bible that he claims was Catholic? Wouldn't that offend his Catholic friends! Why would they even promote such heresy!! LMBO
My KJV says faults .
James 5:16 King James Version (KJV)
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Sins and faults can be two different things. I am not going to a Catholic priest to confess my sins any more than I would a friend. Who paid for those sins?
