Posted : 5 Aug, 2019 03:10 PM There is no capitalization in the Greek therefore I took all the caps out of this KJV passage: .................................................... "and he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: therefore the son of man is lord also of the sabbath."................. -Mark 2:27-28 Mark is the earliest attestation of this passage. We already know all authority in heaven and earth is given to Jesus (Matthew 28:18) so no one is saying Jesus isn't Lord of the Sabbath.............................................We also know Jesus used the phrase "Son of Man" from of Daniel 7:13 to refer to himself...................... Therefore the insertion of CAPS is an acceptable addition to the translation........................................... However in this particular case is this what the author of Mark had in mind? ............................................................ I don't think so because of the "Therefore". In other words this could read like this; 'the Sabbath was made for man (humans); Therefore the son of man (a human) is the master of it.' Post Reply

Notice that Zecharyah just not capitalize the "the son of man". and then he tells you why: Zecharyah quote: "In other words this could read like this; 'the Sabbath was made for man (humans); Therefore the son of man (a human{???) is the master of it.' So finally we learn that Zecharyah believes the same way as *SAD*lap and does not even believe Jesus is God. {???} **IS JESUS OUR GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR**?? Matthew 2:10,11: When the Wise Men saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and **WORSHIPED HIM**! There are some who completely ignore these Scriptures and claim that Jesus is not God because he said that the Father is greater than me in John 14:28 and that the Father told Him what to say as per John 14:23,24: Jesus says, "Anyone who loves Me will obey My teaching. My Father will love them, and We will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love Me will not obey My teaching. The words you hear are not My own; they belong to the Father who sent Me." John 9:37,38: Jesus said, "You have now seen Him; in fact, He is the one speaking with you!" Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he **WORSHIPED HIM**! NOTE: Jesus is called the **LAMB** 30 times in the book of Revelation! Revelation 5:13,14: Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, an all that is In them, saying "To Him who sits on the throne and to the **LAMB** be praise and honor and glory and power for ever and ever!" The 4 living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and **WORSHIPED**! Revelation 17:14; They will wage war against the **LAMB**, but the **LAMB** will overcome them because He is **LORD** of lords and King of kings--and with Him will be **HIS** **CALLED**, *CHOSEN** and **FAITHFUL** followers!! Titus 2:13,14: We wait for the **BLESSED HOPE**--the glorious appearing of our **GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR**, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify a people that are **HIS VERY OWN**, eager to do what is good!! Posted : 5 Aug, 2019 07:04 PM Zech, KJO is correct when she posts "hence the Sabbath is also the L_rd's Day," because everywhere it states "L_rd's Day" it is referencing "Sabbath is also the L_rd's Day," in context to what is being described in the chapter. Quote of Zech - "Therefore the "Lord's Day" is likely the first day of the week when the Lord rose from the dead and the same day early Christian believers met to break bread." So I now know you keep a Gregorian pagan calender for "your" Sabbath, calling "the L_rd's Day" now Sunday (a pagan name) just like the MODERN Jews call saturnday the 7th day sabbath! You need a historical calendar education my friend because Constantine CHANGED the calender in I think about 321 AD. Before the change sunday (Baal day) was the second day of the pagan week and saturnday (worship of saturn) was the first day of the pagan week! Yup, its a historical fact! Post Reply

Hebrews obviously did not keep that calendar, they kept a lunar/solar calendar because it has six working days per week ending in a resting 7th day Sabbath!" "early Christian believers met to break bread." You have Scripture to support "early Christian believers met to break bread." on "sunday"? It would be a pagan assumption to assume "sunday" was always the first day of the week, right? Post Reply

You conflate a day of worship with a day of rest - two entirely separate things in the days of the early Church. Therefore this has nothing to do with calendars, Constantine etc...that is until others conflated it like you have here< Post Reply

Also Gen 2:2 "And on the seventh day yah ended his work which he had made; and rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made." So was He tired Zech? Lol! Or is He setting an example for new created Adam the day before? Oh and He sanctified that day, right? Post Reply
