Question - Which Denomination?

When the apostles planted a church it was called a christian church. Men put on titles. I have to disagree with the gentleman that it was satans work to divide the church. The catholic church was deeply corrupted when Martin Luther began his protests. The common man had no idea what the Bible said before it was printed in the common tongue. Each of us has a responsibility to search the scriptures and study it. Learn for ourselves with the help of the Holy Spirit to know the truth of God's word. Anyone who blindly follows the teachings of others will never know the real truths that are written in the word. When it comes time to stand before our Lord those who followed blindly will have no excuse for the errors in their beliefs.

Gene,

I like your post. When I stand before God if I have made any errors, they will be my own, not because I blindly followed.

Gets me in hot water sometimes, but I have been on this road too long to put up with some of the foolishness I see.

God Bless, Sandy

Hey Samson,

There aren't any on earth I don't think.

During worship, if we can get in that spiritual closet (and get the door shut) then we can have true worship with anyone.

Otherwise we will have to wait for the service in Rev.4:9,10,11

And when those beasts give glory and honor and thanks to him that sat on the throne who liveth forever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to recieve glory and honor and power, for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Amen, Sandy

If the first generation church did not have any stalls, then why do we have them today?

If it's not Biblical, then why can't we do away with those stalls and be one barn?

I will say the Orthodox of the east, for we have been unchanged, in doctrine, we have never added or changed. You find us spread throughout history before the Great Schism of 1054, when the Roman Catholics came into existence.

You find us in Acts, but other sources as well, After Paul had the Church in Antioch, it then passed to Ignotios, and from their several others.

The catholic church was started by Constantine. approx 313 ad.

The church went from on fire christians meeting in their homes and sharing the gospel and treating each other as family to the religious circus it is today.

Samson

if you really want to see the church that was established in the New testiment, i would suggest you take a trip to communist China, if you can, talk to some of the political prisoners, if you can get one that trusts you, he will probably tell you directions to a small home or maybe even a dark ally where there is a church (probably small in number) but is the example of the church of the New Testiment.

If you know of any churches in Saudi Arabia or Sudan, or Iran for that matter, they would be excellent examples of original churches too.
