Die on my feet, not on my knees.

I was wondering that, God forbid, one day a terrorist group like ISIS targets my house. I would know that I would die no matter what. And we all know that people killed in the name of Jesus Christ will go directly to heaven. So I wanted to know if its okay that I go down fighting? Because if I die in their "traditional way", the chances are that they will decapitate or burn me and that's a slow and painful way to go. But if I go down fighting they'll have to shoot me, and though its painful too, it would be much quicker.

It sounds like you are not satisfied with persecution, but are looking to provoke an attack on yourself which gets you killed. This is not martyrdom. Just because someone persecutes you does not mean they intend to kill you.

Again, I suggest you memorize Ephesians 6:10ff, so that you can be focused on the warfare that God has called you to undertake.

Hi Zimneno,

I'm sorry I am late to see and reply, and I don't know if you still check out the forum.

Directly on your question, it's so difficult to know what to do, to avoid what pains people would love to put on others. But Apostle Paul did not worry about that, and was delivered into the hands of the cruel romans. I think we have to be bold as a lion, and consider more how Christ does all, to defend others and not be able to be stopped unless they take your life from you there and then.

Unfortunately, dying as a martyr means nothing on its own. We can give our body to be burned, but if we do not have charity it is nothing. Charity seeks not her own, so we cant seek Heaven for ourselves, as that is what everybody does do, we need to seek to give than to receive, and let the righteous judge decide everything, we cannot give our lives for others and get a greater life as payment, we can only walk in love, not in hatred and evil as most do, but value the gentle harmless ones in this life, that we do anything to help them, and killing for them helps nothing, and the only thing that does help is believing in the meekness of Christ, who showed if His kingdom was of this world then His servants would fight, but His kingdom is Heaven, where there is no more pain, sorrow, tears or death and only everlasting righteousness.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
