Constantine decreed (March 7, 321) dies Solis�day of the sun, "Sunday"�as the Roman day of rest just prior to the Council of Nicaea:
�On the venerable day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country however persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits because it often happens that another day is not suitable for grain-sowing or vine planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost.�
Furthermore:
Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honouring the Lord's Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ. (Canon 29 [A.D. 360]). (The Church Council of Laodicea circa 364 CE)
What did the Pope have to say about all of this?
Sylvester I (314-337 A.D.) was the pope during the reign of Constantine. Here is what he thought of the Bible Sabbath: "If every Sunday is to be observed joyfully by the Christians on account of the resurrection, then every Sabbath on account of the burial is to be execration [loathing or cursing] of the Jews."--quoted by S. R. E. Humbert, Adversus Graecorum calumnias 6, in Patrologie Cursus Completus, Series Latina, ed. J.P. Migne, 1844, p. 143.
So Christians worship on Sunday to loath and curse Jews like our Messiah? Interesting....but where did the Pope get the authority to override YHWH's sabbath?

Hmmm......So the Pope has the authority to override YHWH, God, the Father?

From Constantine's point of view, there were several factions that needed satisfying, and he set out to develop an all-embracing religion during a period of irreverent confusion. In an age of crass ignorance, with nine-tenths of the peoples of Europe illiterate, stabilizing religious splinter groups was only one of Constantine's problems. The smooth generalization, which so many historians are content to repeat, that Constantine "embraced the Christian religion" and subsequently granted "official toleration", is "contrary to historical fact" and should be erased from our literature forever� (Catholic Encyclopedia, Pecci ed., vol. iii, p. 299, passim).
So our contention that Constantine embraced the Jewish Messiah is not true and should be totally erased from our minds. Simply put, there was no Christian religion at Constantine's time, and the Church acknowledges that the tale of his "conversion" and "baptism" are "entirely legendary" and never happened at all. (Catholic Encyclopedia, Farley ed., vol. xiv, pp. 370-1).
...but you don't have to take their word for it. We have physical evidence to this day. Constantine was the High Priest of the sungod Sol Invictus (invincible sun) and his coins remained inscribed �Sol Invicto Comiti� or �committed to the unconquered/invincible sun� to the day he died.

I will have to agree with GodsJude;
Especially when we remember Christ's Words:
28) Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you REST.
29) Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I Am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find REST unto your souls.
30) For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus tells us to take His yoke upon us and He will give us REST, for in the next 8 verse Christ rebukes the Jews for their understanding of the Sabbath and even state in Matthew 12:8, that He is Lord of the Sabbath. For as Jude states Paul writes that Jesus fulfilled the Law, which was only a shadow of Him--Colossians 2:14-17.
9) There remaineth therefore a REST to the people of God.
10) For he that is entered into His REST, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from His.
Hebrews 4:9-10
When we accept Christ Jesus as our Saviour we rest in His finished work, John 19:30; Hebrews 10:14, and no longer strive to do our own worthless works but allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in our hearts. One needs to remember that Adam and Eve were commanded to rest in God finish work, Genesis 2:3.

A Sabbath-Rest for the People of God
1 Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it (by failing to Keep the Sabbath). 2 For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith (Keep the Sabbath in light of the Messiah). 3 Now we who have believed enter that rest (Keep the Sabbath in light of faith in the Passover Lamb of YHVH, whose name is Yahshua), just as YHVH has said,
"So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.' "And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world (YHVH Himself kept the Sabbath in Genesis 1 and commanded we do to, the 4th Commandment). 4 For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day (Saturday, not Sunday) in these words: "And on the seventh day YHVH rested from all his work." 5 And again in the passage above he says, "They shall never enter my rest." (referring to those disobedient to His Sabbath command)
6 It still remains that some (the remnant sons of YHVH) will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience (to the Sabbath). 7 Therefore YHVH, again, set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before:
"Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts. (against His Sabbath)" 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day (the Sabbath Rest is yet to come). 9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of YHVH; 10 for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as YHVH did from His (You must keep the Sabbath just as YHVH did). 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest (by being obedient to The Sabbath), so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience (set by the Christian Church).
