It is impossible for an unbeliever to commit anything that could be considered unforgivable in any sense as their concept of sin is unformed and there is no Biblical justification for such a charge. There are however a number of people who contend that a blasphemy against the Holy spirit is unforgivable in a saved believers life. The question really is; is it possible for a saved believer to do such a thing? What is your opinion?
I have never seen anybody misuse this part of the scriptures as bad as you just did !!!
Paul is saying that anyone who has already been given the Holy Spirit, should they choose to return to a life of sin there is no sacrifice left for them because they just crucified again the living Christ in their heart ,and have put Him and what He did for us to an open shame
Consequently, for their bad choice verse 8 speaks of the fate that awaits those who bring forth thorns willingly (stop and think why Jesus wore a crown of thorns for you !!!)
Heb.6:8 But THAT WHICH BEARETH THORNS AND BRIERS IS REJECTED, AND IS NIGH UNTO CURSING; WHOSE END IS TO BE BURNED.
What are the **9** UNPARDONABLE SINS in the New Testament Covenant?? John 12:48: Jesus says, "There is a Judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept My words, that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the Last Day!"
There are some other Scripture in God's Word which relate tov the {**9**} UNPARDONABLE SIN found in John 12:48:
Jesus says, "There is a Judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept My words, that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the Last Day!"
Matthew 7:21: Jesus says, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord.' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven!"
Luke 9:26: Jesus says, If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels!"
I John 2:3-5: We know we have come to know Him {Jesus} **IF** we obey His commands. The man who says, "I know Him," but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys His Word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in Him!
For conversation sake would you please help me out and explain in detail each of the "9 unpardonable sins you see in John 12:48" that you keep on making reference to?
John 12:48 is not 9 unpardonable sins it is the {**9TH**} UNPARDONABLE SIN!
What are the **9** UNPARDONABLE SINS in the New Testament Covenant?? John 12:48: Jesus says, "There is a Judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept My words, that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the Last Day!"

The other {**8**} UNPARDONABLE SINS are all found in the Book of Revelation:
Revelation 13:11-18: The I saw another Beast coming out of the *EARTH*{The False Prophet}. He had 2 horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon {a deceptive liar like Satan}. He exercised all the authority of the first Beast {666} on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast {666}, whose fatal wound had been healed. And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come from down from heaven to earth in full view of men. Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast {666}, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth.
He ordered them to set up an image {Or statue} in honor of the beast {666} who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. He was given power to give breath to the image {Or statue} of the first beast {666}, so it could {Miraculously} speak and cause all who refused to worship the image {Or statue} to be killed. He also forced everyone to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast {Nero Caesar?} or the number of his name {666}. This calls for wisdom. if anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is a man's number. His number is 666.
Revelation 22:16,18,19: "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimoney for the churches..I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book. If anyone ADDS anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book {Including eternal hell} And if anyone TAKES WORDS AWAY {Like the Preterists and Historicists} from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of Life and in the Holy City {The New Jerusalem}, which are described in this book!"
Revelation 14:9-12: "If anyone worships the Beast and his image {or statue}and receives his mark on their forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be trormented with burning sulfur... and the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image {Or statue}, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name. This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus!!"
So their will be *SIX** unpardonable sins during the 1260-day Great Tribulation immediately before the 2nd coming of Jesus!!
{**1**} Worshipping the Beast
{**2**} Worshipping the image or statue of the Beast
{**3**} Receiving the name of the Beast on your forehead
{**4**} Receiving the name of the Beast on your hand
{**5**} Receiving the number of the Beast's Name on
on your forehead **666**
{**6**} Receiving the number of the Beast's name on
on your hand **666**
And after Revelation was written by John in AD 96 there were *TWO* more *UNPARDONABLE SINS which were in effect until the 2nd coming of Jesus as per Revelation 22:18,19 above!!
{**7**} ADDING WORDS to the prophecies in Revelation
which were inspired by the Holy Spirit
{**8**} TAKING WORDS AWAY from the prophecies in
in Revelation which were inspired by the Holy Spirit!
There is possibly a {**9th**} UNPARDONABLE SIN as per John 14:21,23-26 and John 12:48 which will be those who Reject Jesus and refuse to accept His words which were inspired by the Holy Spirit who will continually remind us of His Words!
John 14:21,23-26: Jesus says, "Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him...If anyone loves Me, he will obey My teaching. My Father will love him, and We will make Our home with him. He who does not love Me will not obey My teaching. All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you!"
John 12:48: Jesus says, "There is a Judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept My words, that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the Last Day!"
In other words there are not 9 unpardonable sins in Jn.12;48 and you just used this as an opertunity to spam the furum with your 666 ad naseum post that only you believe in (hopefuuly)
You knew there were not 9 unpardeonable sins where you said there are but you went ahead and said it anyway.
Unless I misunderstood your point, I took your post using Heb 6 for a witness to support you taking the position that Christians cannot sin against the Holy Spirit....... Amen?
On the other hand my position is Christens often fall back into a lifestyle of sin, and when they do it is impossible to get then to repent. The excuses they use may be different but one of the most common excuses is they consider themselves above rebuke and will not be charged for sins they commit. However, the truth is not only will they be held accountable but they will be judged even more harshly than had they never come to Christ in the first place......... this is the message behind the parable of the unclean spirit in Matt.12 and Luke 11
When Christians fall back into sin; Christ who had come into them as the Holy Spirit lived in their heart, but when they chose to return to a life of sin they killed Christ in them (crucified him again) and put Him to an open shame.
AsI see it we are on opposite sides of interpreting this verse......... if I have misinterpreted your post please show me the where, the what and the how?
I always willing to apologize for an error and would rather be corrected then remain in error.......... especially if I have misjudged a brother or sister in Christ !!!
Reading your post again it seems to me your opening statement is contrary to your closing statement.......... does your first statement have a typo? Because this is the statement that caused me to have the conclusion I have come to
.............. "I would say that an unbeliever cannot sin against the holy spirit. I think Paul explains what Jesus was talking about a bit here:
Well, considering all of the foregoing learnings I have concluded that there is no such thing as an unforgivable sin. I have done some further studies and I do believe Prophetic that you have some serious misunderstandings of my question. The 9 sins you mentioned are all forgivable...
I have concluded that the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is in fact the unforgivable sin, however that sin is not an individual sin but rather a corporate sin committed by the Jews of Jesus' day, it was to that generation and therefore cannot be applied to subsequent generations, in the first instance, and in the second instance the mention of such is in direct relationship to the rejection of His Messiahship by the proclamation of Him being demon possessed. This was a national rejection of the messiahship and not an individual rejection. Perhaps one ramification of this rejection is that judgement was set against that generation and was therefore unalterable. The destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in AD 70 and the subsequent dispersal of the Jewish peoples.
All sin will grieve the Holy Spirit but when repentance is sought then the Holy Spirit rejoices.
