Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. We are not like minded you and I TBK. You see the differnece between you and I is this. You expect me to be like minded with you. I dont expect the same from you. I give you the freedom to think and believe as you would. You fail to show equal respect to others who would dissagree with you. Do what you got to do!!!!!!!!!! Post Reply

I don't give myself freedom to think and act contrary to the Word of God. The Bible is my standard and measure. I fail to show you respect because you think and behave contrary to the Word. Find me a verse that says that I should "respect" anyone who does that. Post Reply

We shouldn't be being taught by those who teach falsely. However, if all I ever did was listen to people who believed like me, I'd likely still not believe in the doctrines of grace today :( I get that we are not like minded. However my post was about the importance of truth. You responded that you live in freedom. That response gives the implication that the believer is free and not bound by truth. The verse TBK gave highlights what is wrong with that view. It is the truth that frees, not binds. Post Reply
