Nicodemus a Pharisee and teacher of the Jews he came to Jesus in the middle of the night and told Jesus he believed in Christ miracles and that Christ is a TEACHER that came from GOD, BECAUSE it is impossible to do the things that Christ did unless God was with him. 1. Nicodemus believed in Christ miracles. 2. He believed Christ to be a teacher that came from God. 3. But he did not believed that Christ is THE SAVIOR. Jesus answered him "Truly, Truly I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God". Christ was talking in the Spirit but to hear and understand the word of the spirit, you must empty yourself of yourself and be filled by the Spirit of God. Only the Spirit of God understands God, and the Spirit of man understands man. Nicodemus was in the Flesh and he asked Jesus "How can a man be be born, when he is old?. He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?' Jesus was talking about spiritual birth, the birth that has overcome death, but Nicodemus was talking about the Natural birth, that needs deliverance from sin which has not overcome death. Jesus answered "Truly, truly I say to you, unless one is born of water and and the spirit he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God". To be born of water is to die to the world and become alive in Christ, that is the New Birth that has ovecome death. To be born of the Spirit, is after baptism we recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit and we speak as the Spirit as it gives utterance, speaking in other tongues.We are filled and led by the Spirit of GOD, HE IS THE TEACHER. "That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit". Without being led by the Spirit of God we will always have a lot of information without revelation.Without being born again we will always be in a state of confusion. Romans 12:2 We must pour ourselves of worldly desires, we must be transformed by the renewing of our mind, then we will be able to know what the will of God is. To be born again is to live like Christ wants us to live not the way we think we should live or like to live. What do you say? Post Reply

Posted : 7 Jan, 2012 11:58 AM yes ella but the Lord speaks of two births in this scriptur, and all I am trying to say is born of water is not the new birth it is being born into flesh, the only birth that is new birth is born of the spirit, the scipture has nothing to do with babtisim.. scott thgis is a discussion forum, thats the purpos is to discuss or debate, it is done with love Post Reply

Posted : 7 Jan, 2012 04:38 PM scott you have not offened me, I am afraid i sometimes get a little passionate about Gods word, I have stron gopinions I am just like that , I am a pasionate person about many things and all things that I l;ove, especieal the word, I dont really get real bent out of shape unless t is something like this that is so obviouse and so specific in the word, I am eally afraid you are misunderstanding what the Lords is saying here but I may be misunderstanding you, I am very sure of what the scripture is saying though, maybe it is you and I not understanding one another, but I am not offened:ROFL::ROFL: I got tuffer skin han that If I didnt I couldnt handle geore for sure Post Reply

Posted : 7 Jan, 2012 08:28 PM bro I posted an entire article that gace scripture and the roots of the belif and It is obviose that there are only 2 births and whichever is not spirit must be flesh, thats an easy deduction! Thats the rule of inference, are you aware of that rule in studying? It is infered that the water birth is flesh becasue there are only 2 births and its not spirit and the only other one is flesh, plese research it and ask others questions and read and most of all pray before you make up your mind Post Reply

"Repent and let each of you be baptized in Jesus name for the forgiveness of your sin and you will recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit. If you read some of what I posted I said the reason for water baptism is because as decendants of Adam, we are born into sin. I also said, some people come out of the water and recieve the gift of the holy Spirit by speaking in tongues.Which is the new birth. I said the other way to recieve the new birth is through prayer like the day of pentecost when the Holy spirit decended on the people and they start speaking in other tongues. We are born into sin, maybe that is what you discribed by being born by our mothers. I hope this clear the issue. Blessings Sister. Post Reply
