In Matthew 25 Jesus spoke:

1"At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

6"At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'

7"Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.'

9" 'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.'

10"But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

11"Later the others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. 'Open the door for us!'

12"But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.'

13"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.(NIV)

Ever Wonder what Jesus was speaking about?

"The five wise are Faith and Love and Grace and Peace and Hope."

The five foolish, "They are Knowledge, Understanding (Perception), Obedience, Patience, and Compassion." (Taken from "epistle of the apostles" translation by M.R. James)

To as one with Christ and to join the Sainthood of the Church, we should to possess all these attributes. In this way Christ will know us.

Hi Leon,

Thanks for your many posts and if I might add... 'My point was that none of this is important in the bigger picture of salvation. First, we are supposed to make sure they are going to heaven, before we start arguing about the trip"... :peace::peace::peace: thanks again for making my day for words of wisdom are rare... God bless you.

hi... just throwing out what I have been taught.... Jesus returns a second time but only in the sky, raises the saints, they become incorruptable... the bible refererence for this " pray that you are among the first rising.."... the raised go to heaven for 1000 yrs to read up on all things, the bible refererence is " satan was chained to the bottomless pit( or abyss) for 1000 yrs"... on Christs 3rd return He comes with the saints and then the evil dead are raised, they storm the city of God and this is Armeggeddon... the evil lose, are cast into the lake of fire, earth is made new and Jesus stands on the Mount of Olives to reign with us for ever .... Eden restored ~and~ God gave us the Bonus 1000 yrs in heaven for going through it all... Adam and Eve, had they not sinned, would have Eternity but not 1000 yrs of heaven.. God is Merciful and Generous to his people... blessings, warmly Mona

You sure got me confused Smokey..You say that you believe the Bible

Literally..but your words are literally opposite of what the Bible says.

Christ Himself Specifically tells us WHEN He Will Send Forth His Angels

TO GATHER TOGETHER HIS ELECT FROM THE 4 WINDS OF HEAVEN in Matthew 24:

IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS...

and then shall appear the Sign of the Son of Man, in heaven..

and they shall See the Son of Man COMING in the Clouds

of Heaven with Power & Great Glory..

How Smokey does this Literally say that He Comes BEFORE The Tribulation?

Concerning OUR GATHERING TOGETHER TO HIM Paul also specifically said:

Let no man deceive you in any way for that day will not come except

First the man of sin be revealed, who sits in the temple, saying he is God.

(2 Thessalonians 2)...(and thats halfway through the 70th Week..Right?)

Who is the man of sin Smokey? Is he sitting in the temple now?

If not then the "rapture" can not occur yet..can it Smokey?

But the Bible is even way more specific than that concerning this Great

Gospel of the 2nd Coming & the Transformation that occurs at that time.

Concerning this Transformation, We are told in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 that:

"Behold I Show You A Mystery"

"We shall not all sleep(die), but we shall all be changed

in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,

AT THE LAST TRUMPET, For The TRUMPET SHALL SOUND and the

dead shall be raised incorruptible, and We shall Be Changed".

And When is that? At the 1st Trumpet? NO, At THE LAST TRUMPET.

Since when & by what Literal interpretation is the Last Trump

blown at the beginning of the Tribulation Smokey..I dont get it.

Revelation 10:7 also talks about the Mystery of the 7th( Last) Trumpet,

saying that: in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he

shall begin to sound, the Mystery of God should be finished,

as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

But I guess you are trying to say that this Coming is different than

His secret "Thief" like coming that no one (including Christ supposedly)

can (supposedly) "Ever Know" the day or hour of. (Misleading translation)

(To say Christ Can Never Know the day of His coming is pure Blasphemy!)

We often hear about this secret? "Thief like" coming from 1 Thesalonians 5:2-3:

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them,

as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape...BUT IT GOES ON TO SAY:

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

(1 Thesalonians 5:4)...

But In fact did you know Christ Himself Reveals When that "Thief Like" Coming Is.

"Behold, I Come As A THIEF. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments,

lest he walk naked, and they see his shame"...Well Duh, this should clear things up!!

I mean, if He would just give us some indication of When This Is, It Would All Be Setttled!

I mean wouldn't it? You would think that Christ Himself would know...and not mislead us..

I mean this is even Christ Speaking in the Book of Revelation Itself Chapter 16 Verse 15..

I definately think a little study here may give clues that might even reveal the timing.

Hmmm...How about looking at the very next verse, to give us a little context..Rev 16:16:

"And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon".

Smokey, You Yourself said armageddon is at the end, or even after the 70th Week.

Doesnt Christ Himself Clearly Reveal Here When His "Secret Thief like Coming" Is?

No secret here! It is just like He said, He will come at a time when any further

DELAY WOULD MEAN THE DESTRUCTION OF ALL FLESH UPON THE FACE OF THE EARTH.

It seems to me that the most logical & scriptural timing for this Great Gathering

Together of His Elect would be at the same time that the 2 Witnesses of Rev. 11

are resurrected..which will be 1263.5 days after they are given Power & Authority

to fight the beast, by destroying his kingdom with every Act of GOD known to man.

When the power of those 2 Holy People is broken then Christ returns to save Us.

Can you give me one single Scripture that Literally Supports your views...

of a seperate, secret, unexpected rapture of Christians...From The Bible?

With so great a cloud of witnesses of those before us who were persecuted,

& with promises & prophecies of even worst tribulations coming on us today,

why would this generation of Christians think they will escape these things.

And what will happen to those "Christians" when they suddenly find out that

everything that they thought the Bible said about the "rapture" is not true.

It seems to me that they will conclude that the Bible is false-& fall away.

The parable of the "10 Virgins waiting for the Bride Groom" to come is

very obviously telling us some things about the 2nd Coming of Christ.

Since I do believe everything in the Bible is Literally the Truth then

I also believe that a "Literal Translation" of this parable may even

suggest that since only 5 out of the 10 ever even made it to the wedding,

likewise, maybe only 5 out of 10 of all those who claim to be Christians

will have enough light in them to even make it to the wedding celebration.

But ultimately only 1 out of the 10 actually becomes the Victorious Bride.

Yes, many claim to be Christians, but they foolishly follow the doctrines

of men & doctrines of demons, & teach others to follow those doctrines too.

& by teaching these doctrines to men, they cause them to fall from the truth.

Talking about Little Children, Christ said It is better to have a millstone

hung around your neck, & be thrown into the sea rather than to offend one

of these little ones. I wonder if "Offend" means "to lead astray"? and I

wonder if Christ considers His Own Children as "Little Ones"..I think so.

Let not many of you become teachers for as such you incur stricter judgement.
