Praying with the mind is helpful. It helps the party we pray for, it helps ourselves because it is talking to God..that awareness that God is able and willing to answer prayers. God loves to hear from us. Here we are free will beings and we invest time in talking to God in prayer, God loves that.
Prayer done by speaking in tongues and thinking about the individual we are praying for or picturing the person we are praying for in our minds and then speaking in tongues for them is "perfect prayer"....That is, as much as we know with our minds about a person, their needs, their situation...God knows more than we do...that is why prayer done in tongues is perfect...it allows God to act freely in the situation, rather than the specific way we are requesting God to act when we pray with our minds...
I have no idea what I am speaking when speaking in tongues, it is a language of angles or a language of man... do know the bible clearly says that no man speaking in tongues calls Jesus accursed. I have kown of events where speaking and tongues and interpretation have occurred where a person in the audience understood what was being said..and she said the gist of it was "glorifying God"...does that help?
I am sorry, I missed that, were you referring to godsjude or myself?
The Holy host thing, that is in italics in the KJ, so added words), doesn't exist...there is/are references to the Holy Ghost elsewhere...its still the word "pneuma hagion" the same word translated as Holy Spirit, I have no problem with your belief system...its just that for me the Trinity is rubbish, man's doctrine...it started during the latter part of Pauls' ministry...is still complicated, contradictory...have at it..preach it like you see it...
