God told Adam that the DAY he would eat of the fruit, that he would DIE. Adam did NOT die that day physically, but he DID SPIRITUALLY. Because of this, ALL mankind is born totally spiritually DEAD, with a WILL enslaved to sin. NO ONE would EVER repent and trust in Jesus except for God's mercy in sending the Holy Spirit to enter His chosen people. The only reason anyone of us, has repented and is now trusting in Jesus is because God showed us mercy and made us come alive spiritually by His Holy Spirit. In Christ, James Post Reply
