Why Do We Confess Sins ?

Because GOD says so...

Bible Summary. Sin is any Thought or Action that is against God. When we are in sin we are not in relationship with God. Confessing the sins in our lives is a first step in being reconciled back to God. God, because of His righteous nature, cannot be in the presence of our sinful disobedience. In fact from God's perspective, sin must be destroyed. At the same time God, because of His loving nature, loves all of mankind even though they are in sin. To reestablish a loving relationship with mankind, Jesus Christ paid the price on the cross for mankind's sin. All that is required for a person to receive this free gift of salvation from sin is to Confess their sins and Accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. See below for Biblical advice and scriptures on why we confess sins. Key Bible Verses: Romans 5:12, Hosea 5:15, Romans 5:16, 1 John 4:15, and 1 John 1:9.

What Is Sin And Why Does God Want Us To Confess Sins?

Sin is any thought or action that is against God. Sin started with Adam. As a result of Adam being disobedient to God in the garden of Eden, sin entered Adam and it became part of his nature. Because of our natural forefather, Adam, all of mankind has inherited this sin nature. Acknowledging sin in our lives is a first step to being reconciled back to God.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:*** This advises us how sin was passed to all of mankind.

God Will Not Have a Relationship With Us Unless We Confess Sins.

Whether we know it or not, we are suppose to be in a loving relationship with God. When we are not, we have broken our relationship with Him. Our Disobedience to God, our Creator, is a SIN. Only when we Acknowledge Our Offenses toward God can Our Relationship with God be Restored.

Hosea 5:15 I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. ***This advises us that God will not have a relationship with us without a confession of our sins.

God's Free Gift to Us Saves Us From the Consequences of Our Sin.

Because of God's righteousness nature, He must Destroy and Punish Sin. Because of God's love, Christ Jesus paid the price on the cross for our sinful disobedience. Jesus' act on the cross is God's free gift to mankind. All We Must DO is Confess and Believe. This loving act enable mankind to be justified and in good standing with God.

Romans 5:16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. ***This advises us on God's free gift of salvation from sin.

We Confess Sins and Accept Jesus Christ as Our Lord and Savior.

If we Confess our Sins and Acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and Savior, WE Will Be Saved from the Consequences of Our Sins. We will be in Fellowship with God and have Eternal Life.

1 John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. *** This advises us to confess that Jesus is the Son of God.

Cleanse Us From Our Sin and All Unrighteousness.

God Desires and Requires that We Confess Sins and Our Sin Nature. He Requires that We Confess that Jesus Christ's Action on the Cross enable God to Forgive our sins and Cleanse us from ALL Unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. *** This advises us on confession and God cleansing us from all unrighteousness.

Fellowship is not relationship Ella.

When I marry Ella I am then in relationship with my wife, fellowship is what we do after we enter into that relationship, broken fellowship does not void the marriage, even though it could ultimately lead to that.

Obviously there could be a question as to whether or not there is a relationship.

yeah, Jude one thing we are learning is that we had better stay on the right path that we're on, and with what we spiritually know to be true with Jesus Christ and God's word, and suffer the consequences of disobedence for not following men in the word when we all get to heaven

WOW! what a day of rejoicing that will be to get beat by God for not following twisted teahcing... if we get tre up for that, then it will be worth it, we can get our whooping in heaven for not being silent while they teach... geeezzzz I AM STILL IN UNBELEIF!...:excited:

I mean according to POIC, we have no need to repent of our sins, we don't have to call Jesus Lord because He already knows He Lord, and... Oh, well whatever!:toomuch::toomuch::purpleangel:

Matthew 6:5: Jesus says, "When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.:

Luke 11:2-4: Jesus says, "When you pray, say Father hallowed by your name, your kingdom dome..Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us." We should pray without ceasing and we should ask God to forgive us our sins **EVERYTIME** we pray.

NOTE: It is of course a sin to pray to anyone else except our Heavenly Father who alone can forgive us. There are many who wrongfully pray to Jesus which is a sin if the person knows it is wrong. Many children pray to Jesus and I think the Father still hears them. Praying to Mary of course is a terrible sin or asking anyone besides the Father to forgive us is also a terrible sin.

We are commanded to walk as Jesus walked. I John 2:14: "Whoever claims to live in Him {Jesus} must walk as Jesus did!" And since we fall short of this dozens of times every day we need to continually ask The Father to forgive us for falling short.

SALVATION A 100 % FREE GIFT AND ETERNAL*REWARDS* 100% EARNED!!

So God's saints should not be worried about losing their salvation but should be very worried about losing their rewards!!

Ephesians 2:8,9: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the **GIFT** of God--not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do!"

Hebrews 11:1,6: Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we:rolleyes: do not see....And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He **REWARDS** those who earnestly seek Him."

Ephesians 6:7,8: "Serve wholeheartedly...because you know that the Lord will *REWARD* everyone:rolleyes: for whatever good he does!"

2 John 1:8: "Watch out that you do not lose what you :rolleyes:have worked for, but that you may be *REWARDED* fully!"

I Corinthians 3:6-9: Paul said, "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be *REWARDED* according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers!":applause:

Daniel 12:3: "Those who impart wisdom will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever!"

Matthew 5:11,12: Jesus says, "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your *REWARD* in heaven!" {See Luke 6:35}

Revelation 22:12: Jesus says, "Behold, I am coming soon! My *REWARD* is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done!"

2 Corinthians 5:9,10: "So we make it our goal to please Him..For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad!"

Matthew 16:27: Jesus says, For the Son of Man is going to come in His **FATHER'S GLORY WITH HIS ANGELS**:angel:{See Matt 24:30-31;25:31-40}, and **THEN** He will *REWARD* each person according to what he has done."

Jesus says in Rev 2:17; 3:4, 5, 21: To him who overcomes...I will give a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.....He will walk with Me for he is worthy... I will acknowledge his name before My Father and His angels.... I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem.....I will write on him my New Name... and I will give him the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. According to Rev 22:3 these 2 thrones will be the only thrones in the Heavenly New Jerusalem!.

I Peter 1:13: Therefore, prepare your minds for *ACTION*, and set your hope *FULLY* on the grace to be given *YOU* when Jesus Christ is *REVEALED*.:peace::applause:

Prophet shared ~ Matthew 6:5: Jesus says, "When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.:

*** Thats not what my Bible says Prophetmaybe ya got the verses mixed up:glow:

Jesus Speaking ~

Mat 6:4 ~ That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

*Mat 6:5 ~ And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Mat 6:6 ~ But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Anywhowhats all this stuff you posted got to do with the topic of the Post..."Why do we Confess Sins" Prophet ???I appreciate your input & comments as alwaysbut it appears you have another Agenda of Preaching a completely different message not conducive of the Topic of the Postjust an observationxo

Message from God's Jude to Prophetic774:

Actually I was right on the topic of the post since 2 of the most important reasons that saints should confess their sins daily is because Jesus commands us to confess our sins to the Father daily and that God gives countless eternal heavenly rewards to those saints who obey His commands. The saints certainly do not confess their sins daily because they are afraid to lose their salvation.

The other reason that the saints:rolleyes: should confess their sins daily is to be in a closer relationship to the Father and Jesus.

John 14:23: Jesus says, "If anyone loves Me, he will obey my teaching {Like confessing our sins daily}. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him." :applause:
