Peace treaty will be for 7 years but in the midst he will break the covenant and will try to destroy Israel. So he, the antichrist, will break the deal during the 7 year time period at the three and a half year mark and it iwll be his reign of terror.
Bahira, this is what I think as well, becsue scripture tells us these things. That's why I asked Prophet how can a person understand the Book of Revelation clearly, without firstly understanding the Book of Daniels, and Jesus even warns us that UNLESS you can read Daniles with spritiual understanding, its best nto to even read it.
Paul makes it clear as well as to what he antichrist is going to do and how he is going to deceie many people who think they know the word of God, but are going to be led astay... Paul also tells us that the antichirst is going to set up his place so that all his followers will be able to come worship him and those who believ his lie, God is going to send their a strong desulion because they believed his lie... and there will be a call for peace, and suddenly destruction
Now there is nowhere that I can find wherein we are told that this will nto be a physical place, as in a building, but we are told that during this time of peace, God will complete His work, and a new temple will be be build sometimes during these periods. if the anti-christ will be ruling for 3 1/2 years and after that time he will attack Israel then it is possible that the tribulation period i.e.persecution of christians .. will bee during this time).
Then Jesus will apear during the war in Jerusalem/the attack of the antichrist. Jesus will defend Jews.
Also, the 2 witnesses will testify for three and one half years!
And the great tribulation will last three and a half years ...So the two witnesses ministry was during the trumpets. And the seventh trumpet will reveal that the the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. So, their 3.5 year ministry was during the trumpets and then God Jesus will come back to His earh created by Him.

Now ETcallhome has said that the Temple mentioned in Daniel 9:24-27 refers to a Temple to be built by the Jews just before the beginning of the Great Tribulation. Let us investigate this claim by ET.
Matt 24:1,2; Mk:13:1,2:Luke 21:5,6: Jesus left the Temple and was walking away when some of His disciples were remarking how the Temple was adorned with beautiful stones... But Jesus said, �As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another, every one of them will be thrown down!!
Jesus made this amazing prophecy on April 1, AD 33 which was 2 days before His crucifixion on April 3rd, AD 33 as per Matthew 26:1,2. This amazing prophecy was completely fulfilled in September to October AD 70 which was just 37 1/2 years later. About 3 years earlier in John 2:20 the Jews told Jesus �It has taken 46 years to build this Temple.�
The following is a quote from "Antiquities of the Jews" by Josephus, Page 334, Para 1 & 3:� "And now Herod, in the 18th year of his reign undertook a very great work, that is, to build of himself the temple of God and make it LARGER in compass, and to raise it to a most significant altitude, as esteeming it to be the most glorious of all his actions and this would be sufficient for an everlasting memorial to him....so Herod TOOK AWAY THE OLD FOUNDATIONS AND LAID OTHERS, and erected the temple upon them. Herod's {*3RD*} Temple was 100 cubits {150 feet} long." {The first two Jewish temples were both 60 cubits {90 feet} long as per 2 Chronicles 3:3 & Ezra 6:3.}� So then Herod's Temple was the *3RD TEMPLE which according to John 2:20 took "46 years to build".�

The answers to the 3rd Question are mentioned in all the passages above.
The answer to the 2nd Question was only answered in Luke 21:20-24.
Before quoting Luke 21:20-24 It is important to note that Josephus; a respected Historian and General in the Israeli army; witnessed everything that occurred in AD 70. Josephus wrote that it took about 2 weeks for the Roman armies to completely **surround** Jerusalem and close off all the exits. During these 2 weeks Josephus said many people left Jerusalem and some returned with supplies. After Jerusalem was captured all the Jews were rounded up and taken to many countries in the Roman Empire and sold as slaves. Jerusalem was then controlled by the Gentiles for 1897 years until the Jews again ruled Jerusalem on June 7th, 1967.
Jesus gave the answer to Question # 2 "What will be the sign that this is about to happen?" only in Luke 21:20-24: �When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by {Roman} armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.{About 10,000 Christians heeded this warning of Jesus} For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written {See Daniel 9:26 below}...There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled." {Or AD 70 to AD June 7th1967}
Jesus gave the answer to question # 1: �When will the Temple be destroyed?� only in Matthew 24:34 & Luke 21:32 when Jesus said "**This generation** will certainly not pass away until all these things {In Luke 21:20-24 Matthew 24:2; Mark 13:2 Luke 21:6} are fulfilled." {Which took place 37 1/2 years later in September to October AD 70}
The destruction of Jerusalem and the 3rd Temple was also prophesied in Daniel 9:26b: �The people {Roman army} of the ruler {Nero Caesar} will destroy the city {Jerusalem } and the sanctuary.� {Or 3rd Temple} Nero Caesar ordered General Vespasian in AD 67 to conquer the Jews and Jerusalem who had rebelled against Rome. Vespasian conquered dozens of cities in Israel until he became Caesar in December of AD 69 and then His son General Titus took over and surrounded Jerusalem in the Spring of AD 70 and then completely destroyed Jerusalem and the 3rdTemple in September and October of AD 70.
70 years before the prophecy in Daniel 9:24-27 The 1st Temple and the city of Jerusalem were completely destroyed by King Nebuchudnezzar and Babylon and all the Jews including Daniel who were not killed were exiled to Babylon as per 2 Chronicles 36:17-20. God promised in Jeremiah 29:10 that the Jews would return to Israel in exactly 70 years: This is what the Lord says: �When 70 years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you back to this place.�
When the 70 years were completed Daniel made this prayer in Daniel 9:17,18, 21, 23: �Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, O Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary {Temple}. Give ear, O God and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city {Jerusalem} that bears Your Name.�...While I was making my request to the Lord Gabriel came to me and said, �Daniel... as soon as you began to pray an answer was given, which I have come to tell you.�

In the prophecy of the 70 7's in Daniel 9:24-27 the restoration {Including the Temple} and rebuilding of Jerusalem is mentioned in Daniel 9:25 and the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in AD 70 is mentioned in Daniel 9:26b.
Daniel 9:25,26: �Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree {By Cyrus} to restore {The Temple-Ezra 6:3} and rebuild Jerusalem {Isaiah 44:28} until the Anointed One, the Ruler, comes, there will be 7 7's {49 Years} plus 62 7's {434 years}. It {Jerusalem} will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble {Which is why it took 49 years to rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple See Ezra & Nehemiah}. After the 62 7's {or 434 years after Jerusalem and the Temple was rebuilt} the Anointed One will be cut off 'but no for Himself' {See NIV footnote} The people {Roman Army} of the Ruler who will come {Nero Caesar} will destroy the city {Jerusalem} and the sanctuary {Or Temple in AD 70} The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the End, and desolations have been decreed.�

And so the prophecies in Daniel 9:24-27 has nothing to do with a Jewish Temple that some wrongly believe has to be built in approximately 7 years before the beginning of the Great Tribulation.

There are all kinds of problems with this. How do we know when the Great Tribulation begins? It may have already started and if so, exactly when did it begin? Also, there is not going to be agreement on exactly when it starts or has already started. And it is quite likely that God does not want us to know the exact date it starts - if the 1260 days is the actual length of the entire tribulation, or just some other period.
Going off on date-setting, even using a time span that is in prophecy, is going out on a limb. Any one can say he thinks the tribulation started at some date in time, and then apply the 1260 days and arrive at the date Christ will appear, and then, if he is wrong, isn't he in almost the same position Camping got himself into?
Revelation 6: 9-10 talks about the martyrs of Jesus, and then in verse 12 about a great earthquake. Then in verses 13 and 14 stars fall from heaven and the heaven departed as a scroll. Is this in sequence in time? Is the great earthquake literal? Is it to be world wide? How big an earthquake compared to the 9 in Japan in early 2011? Is stars falling and heaven departing as a scroll literal? What does it mean. Can we take this is the start of the tribulation?
Talking about "666" which may be one man, the dispensationalist one man anti-Christ is also very risky, since it is false. John in I John 2: 18 and in I John 4: 3 does not talk about one man as THE anti-Christ who will arrive in the end times. He mentions instead that there are many anti-Christs around and that there is a spirit of anti-Christ.
The number 666 in Revelation 13: 18 is said to be the number of A man in some translations, and as the number of man in a few. My Greek-English Interlinear (Berry,1958) says "...for number a man's it is..." which is a little ambiguous, though it leans toward saying its one man's number.
Which beast of Revelation 13 has the number 666? The first beast is said to have more than one heads (Revelation 13: 3), and the second beast is the church after the falling way and the false prophet or actually, to be consistent with Matthew 24: 11, many false prophets.
Since man was created on the sixth day (Genesis 1: 26 and 31), the number 666 can be said to be the number of man rather than of a man, as strangely the NIV has it. Despite its poor reputation for many verses, the NIV has this one right. "...for it is man's number. His number is 666."
Are you sure the beast in Revelation 13: 18 is the same as the man of sin in II Thessalonians 2: 3-4? And that this is the one-man dispensationalist anti-Christ? When Paul says this man of sin will sit in the "temple of God" in verse 4 he uses the Greek word naos, which is the same word he uses in I Corinthians 3:16 and 6: 19 to say that Christians are now the temple of God, and in Mark 14: 58 that "I will destroy this temple that is made with hands and within three days I build another made without hands" the Greek word for temple is naos, not hieron.
But in dispensationalist theology it does not matter what Greek word is used for temple.
The man of sin who is to sit in the minds and hearts of those who claim to be God's people in the end times, that is those who believe they are Christians are the false prophets Christ warned about in Matthew 24: 11. Since many of the end time "Christians" believe these false prophets, the false prophets can be said to sit in the temple of God, which is the minds and hearts of the "Christians."
How do we know when the Great Tribulation begins? It may have already started and if so, exactly when did it begin? According do God's Word the beginning of the 1260-day or 42 {30-day} month reign of 666 will not be a big secret as per 2 Thessalonians 2:8,9:
"And then the Lawless One will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of His mouth and the splendor of His coming {On the Last Day of the 1260-day rule of 666}. The coming of the Lawless One will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing."
And so any Tribulation saint who can add up to 1260 will know the exact day of the 2nd coming of Jesus once the 1260-day Tribulation begins.
For example: If the coming of 666 and the 1260-day Great Tribulation starts on June 16th, 2011 then the 2nd coming of Jesus would occur exactly 1260 days later on November 27th, 2014. When the 1260-day Great Tribulation begins God's saints will then know the exact day of the 2nd coming on the Last Day as per: Rev 3:3: Jesus says, �But {*IF*} you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.� I Thess 5:4: Paul said �But YOU BROTHERS {*CHURCH SAINTS*}, are not in darkness so that {*THIS DAY*} should surprise you like a thief.�

There are those who say that Revelation is just one big symbolic fairy tale that no one can really understand and once they establish this heresy they can interpret Revelation in any way there little old heart desires.

Also I believe that God said here about the Temple to be constructed in Jerusalem. It is a physical Temple..why? because God NEVER lies. Reread Revelation 11:
Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, �Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months.
Why he should not measure the court which is outside the temple? Because it has been given to the Gentiles!!! As we know there is no Temple now in Jerusalem except the outer wall Wailing Wall. But there is al Aqsa Mosque on the territory of the ex-temple. So, Jews will worship God as before but Gentiles/Muslims will worship Islamic allah there too. The same gentiles will attack Jerusalem for forty-two months (the period of persecution as described above). During this time God said that 2 witnesses will testify for 3 � years.

But what about the events described in Revelation 8? They should happen before attack Israel and christians by the anti-christ!!! They also the time of tribulation!!! They are described in order when then will happen. It is the sequence of events given us by God! So, the Mark of the Beast will be given during the tribulation time/persecution time (Rev 13;14). Then angels will testify the last time to all nations and tribes. Then Babylon will be destroyed and God Jesus will descend to protect Jews.
So, I thing that the Anti-Christ will exercise his authority for 7 years. And that the Great Tribulation can last 7 years starting from the time of the coming of the Anti-Christ to power to the day of the war against Israel when Jesus will descend from heaven to protect Jews. During this time (within 7years) we will see the wrath of God/calamities starting from the Revelation 8 which will last for 3 � years. And the start of the tribulation period/persecution period for 3 � years.
Also NOTE: that God does not play in games and He CLEARLY listed the sequence of the events describing them as the trumpet blows.
So, I think that the Anti-Christ will exercise his authority for 7 years. And that the Great Tribulation can last 7 years starting from the time of the coming of the Anti-Christ to power to the day of the war against Israel when Jesus will descend from heaven to protect Jews{??}. During this time (within 7years) we will see the wrath of God/calamities starting from the Revelation 8 which will last for 3 1/2{??} years. And the start of the tribulation period/persecution period for 3 1/2 years.
The 7 trumpet plagues of Rev 8 & 9 and the 7 bowl plagues of Rev 16 could easily take place during the 1260-day great Tribulation. Only the plague in Rev 9:1-11 is given a time period which will be only 5 months. The other plagues could last as little as a few days or a week.

Actually God's Word in Romans 11:26 states that when the full number of Gentiles have come in {See Rev 7:9,14} "All Israel will be saved."
Zechariah 12:10: 13:8,9 states that two-thirds of the Jews will be killed and one third will be saved. God's two Jewish witnesses {Moses and Elijah} and 144,000 Jewish evangelists can easily accomplish this mission during the 1260-day Great Tribulation.
Revelation 13:5,7,8,10: The Beast {666} will exercise his authority for 42 {30-day} months {Or 1260 days-See Dan 7:25 & Dan 12:1,2,7b}...He will be given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them..All inhabitants of the earth will worship the Beast--all whose names have not been written in the Book of Life belonging to the Lamb...If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity, into captivity he will go. Dan 9:24-27: �70 7�s {490 years} are decreed for your people to Anoint the Most Holy, TO ATONE FOR WICKEDNESS and to bring in everlasting righteousness... "Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree {By Cyrus-Isa 44:28 above} to rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One comes {Oct 23, AD 29?} there will be 7 plus 62 7's {Which is 69 7's or 483 years}. "After the 7 plus 62 7's {actually 1260 days after on April 3-5 AD 33} the Anointed One will be cut off but not for Himself..... He {The Anointed One} will confirm a COVENANT with many for one 'seven'.� In the middle of the 'seven' {After 1260 days} He {The Anointed One; not 666} will put an END to SACRIFICES{For sin}{And then after a long pause} the abomination of Desolation {666} will come {for the 1260 day Great Tribulation} until the decreed end is poured out on him.� on the Last day of the last 7 {See Rev 19:20} And so the first half of the last 7 was already completed when Jesus put and END to all sacrifices for sin 1260 days after His Anointing which occurred after 69 7's.
When the Anointed One came 69 7's or 483 years were 100% completed [See Dan 9:25 above} leaving just one 7 in the future; which will be totally used by those who wrongly believe in a future 7-year Tribulation; which means that the Atonement for sin by Jesus about 3 1/2 years after His Anointing can not be included in the 70 7's Prophecy. However, God's Word clearly states that 70 7's are decreed ...TO ATONE FOR WICKEDNESS which occurred about 3 1/2 years after the end of the 69 7's and therefore the first half of the last 7 has already been completed since there are only 3 1/2 times left in the 70 7's. And so the Great Tribulation and the rule of 666 will last exactly 1260 days or 42 months or 3 1/2 times which agrees which God's Divine time periods found in Dan 12:1,2,7b; Dan 7:25 & Rev 13:5.
Mark 13:20: Jesus says, �If the Lord had not cut short those {Tribulation} days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom He has chosen, He has shortened them.�The first 69 7's were 365-day years {7 years = 2557 days} but the Last 7 has been shortened to 360-day years and two 1260-day periods or 2520 days.
Also I believe that God said here about the Temple to be constructed in Jerusalem. It is a physical Temple..why? because God NEVER lies. Reread Revelation 11:1,2:
Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, �Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months.
Why he should not measure the court which is outside the temple? Because it has been given to the Gentiles!!! As we know there is no Temple now in Jerusalem except the outer wall Wailing Wall. But there is al Aqsa Mosque on the territory of the ex-temple. So, Jews will worship God{???} as before but Gentiles/Muslims will worship Islamic allah there too.
DOES A JEWISH TEMPLE WITH BIBLICAL SPECIFICATIONS HAVE TO BE REBUILT??
������� Some End-Time Groups who wrongly interpret Daniel 9:27a, and who believe in a 7-year Tribulation, {Starting with a New Jewish Temple} are now spreading false rumors that religious Jews are now building a Temple or are planning to tear down the Muslim Dome of the Rock in order to rebuild a Jewish Temple to Biblical specifications and will then REINSTITUTE animal sacrifices???
However there are several big problems with this scenario: All 21 Arab Muslim nations including Pakistan which has many nuclear bombs would then immediately declare an all-out Holy War on Israel, and the Israeli government fully understands this. I know this for I was a missionary in Israel.� A Jewish Temple built to Biblical specifications would then take at least 7 years to build during this continuous war with the 21 Muslim nations. Most of these same End-Time Groups also teach that a pre-trib rapture could occur TODAY {Not at least 7 years from today} which of course makes the ridiculous *IMMINENT* pre-trib belief {That Jesus could come TODAY} a big joke.
Now all those who believe in a 7-year Tribulation only because of the wrong interpretation of Daniel 9:27a also believe that immediately following a CONCEALED pre-trib rapture of the Church saints that the Anti-Christ will make a Covenant with Israel; allowing the Jews to make animal sacrifices in a Jewish Temple built to Biblical specifications. They believe that at the end of 3 1/2 years in the middle of the 7 years the antichrist will put an end to all animal sacrifices in this Jewish Temple. However, for over 1,000 years religious Jews have believed that when their Messiah comes He will bring with him the New Jewish Temple and the required Ark of the Covenant. And then the Messiah will re-establish the Levitical priesthood; who will then offer animal sacrifices according to OT Law.
For according to OT Law {See Numbers 3:5-10} all Jewish Priests must prove that they are direct descendants of Levi and these Levitical genealogies were completely destroyed when the last Jewish Temple was destroyed in AD 70. Therefore, no Scriptural OT animal sacrifices could possibly occur before then; since no Jew can now prove that he is a Levite!! And so if you are waiting for this Jewish Temple to be built to Biblical specifications by Jews who will then offer animal sacrifices; you are going to have to wait until this bogus Jewish messiah comes.� Please do not hold your breath until this time!
������ Did Herod the Great completely destroy the 2nd Temple including its foundations around 17 BC?? The following is a quote from "Antiquities of the Jews" by Josephus, Page 334, Para 1 & 3:� "And now Herod, in the 18th year of his reign undertook a very great work, that is, to build of himself the temple of God and make it LARGER in compass, and to raise it to a most significant altitude, as esteeming it to be the most glorious of all his actions and this would be sufficient for an everlasting memorial to him....so Herod TOOK AWAY THE OLD FOUNDATIONS AND LAID OTHERS, and erected the temple upon them. Herod's 3rd Temple was 100 cubits {150 feet} long." {The first two Jewish temples were both 60 cubits {90 feet} long as per 2 Chronicles 3:3 & Ezra 6:3.}� So then Herod's Temple was the 3RD TEMPLE which according to John 2:20 took "46 years to build".�
There are some who believe that a {4th} Jewish Temple built to Biblical specifications will appear during the End-Times and is suggested in Revelation 11:1.� The TEMPLE IN HEAVEN is mentioned 12 times in Revelation where worshipers are present: Rev 3:12;7:15;11:19(2X);14:15,17;15:5,6,8(2x); & Rev 16:1,17.
The only other time that a temple is mentioned is in Rev 11:1; where worshipers are present; so this could also be a reference to the TEMPLE IN HEAVEN. Let us compare Rev 11:1 with Rev 7:15 and Rev 8:3-5:� Revelation 11:1: I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and measure the TEMPLE OF GOD and the ALTAR, and count the worshipers there." Rev 7:15:"They {martyrs as per Rev 7:9-14} are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in HIS TEMPLE."
Rev 8:3-5: Another angel:angel:, who had a golden censor, came and stood at the ALTAR. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all the saints:rolleyes:, on the golden ALTAR before the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints,:rolleyes: went up before God from the angel's hand.�
Ephesians 2:19b-22:� "You are members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ Himself as the chief cornerstone {Of the 4th and LAST TEMPLE}.� In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a HOLY TEMPLE in the Lord.� And in Him you too are being built {Living Stones-1 Pet 2:5} together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.
� 2 Cor 6:16 "For *WE are the TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD!"{See Revelation 11:1 above!!} Acts 17:24: The God who made the world and everything in it ...does not live in temples built by hands. The �outer court� of the TEMPLE OF GOD in Rev 11:2 would be the saints on earth who are also the TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD.:rolleyes::angel:
