respecting authority

I was listening to a semon on the radio this morning. a preacher was saying that a 2 year old child does not understand the dangers of the street. They will run out on the street if not stopped. Well, by learning the voice of the parent who speaks with authority the child learns not to go on the street.

In truth the parent may not even be a good parent but the child still has to respcet the parent.

It is very disrespctful to insult everybody you dosagree with by saying they are of satan or implying seriously that one sex is at fault with a certain issue. It is an act of spiritual immaturity.

I have noticed that even thou some of us disagree with a woman pastor on this site, you need to still threat that post with respect no matter how wrong or her over sized ego is.

She is a pastor in her church and we are required to respect that post. this is a hard thing to do because some have sought forgivness and were ignored. you are to forgive and expect nothing in return. god will deal with the person in question not you.

I Timothy 2:11: A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, she must be silent.

I Cor 14:33-35: "In *ALL* the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

However women may witness to men outside of the church as per Acts 18:26: When Priscilla and Aquila heard **him**, they invited *him* to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately."

Since boys do do become "men" in God's Word until they are 12 years old I believe a woman can teach boys 11 years and under in Sunday School.

Read Proverbs 31:10-31 and I Peter 3:1-6.

Dennis,

good post and I agree. I know we all get upset but there are many things to consider about someone before we respond with malice.

we never know the level the person is on who is writing the post/response. the maturity in the Lord, the past experiences maybe with an abusive dad or husband...and many other things. (language barrier)

Also, there is nothing in the bible about us women submitting to just any and every man.

now you guys know that despite our differences, I love you all...whether I agree with you or not...whether you call me names and/or judge me. I still love you.

I know who is behind all the junk going on and it isnt God.

We can just agree to disagree.

Jennifer

I Peter 1:22: "Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth :angel:so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart."

I Corinthians 13:2,4-8: If I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love I am nothing...Love is patient:rolleyes:, love is kind:rolleyes:. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails!!":applause:
