I do not believe there is an Old Covenant Scripture equivelant with this.

2Co 8:9 for ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that because of you he became poor--being rich, that ye by that poverty may become rich.

The H-W use this verse by saying:

See Christ became poor so that 'We could become Rich'

They use this verse to condone the ripping off of the masses for their own use,and pleasure.

When questioned by others, their usual repsonse is this.

'Oh don't you have faith unto this brother.

It does not take faith to rob people,it takes a greedy, hardened and despicable heart to to do this,

Especially to the poor.

Christs poverty was to empty himself and become a man.

My becoming rich,is being adopted as a child of GOD.

Mat 6:33 but seek ye first the reign of God and His righteousness, and all these shall be added to you.

When we are empowered of the holy Spirit to be seeking the Kingship of GOD,then do we not also get along with Him everything that He is,does, and has.

The best understanding might be this.

Christ became a man in order that He would make me a son of GOD.

Christ though all things had been made by Him,

and for His good pleasure,Yet He did not seek anything of this life.

He did not own anything in this life,Nor was He possessed by anything in this life.

He only sought to do the will of the Father and to ONLY Please Him.

Man,creates NOTHING,he uses what has already been created in order to make things.

Man enters this world with nothing, yet he/she wants almost everything their eye can see.

Man really owns NOTHING,yet man can be possessed ,or rather obssessed with/by almost everything.

ETbn, why do you vex me with such misinformation? Good grief where do you get this stuff?.... never mind, I know. I think it would benefit you to start studying the Bible for yourself instead of being spoon fed by televanglists .

However if you want me to go through the list I will.

When it comes to truth and a being a believer of the truth, I will make it clear, I could care less about being right and what I have to say has nothing to do with any network or any other preacher or man of God.

I make no bones about believing the word of God concerning the post recently posted against the word of God under wealth and health, and wholeheartedly against the lord Jesus.

We all have to work out our own salvation, but for one when tragedy struck my family I was knocked of my feet as where my children, and some would have Christians believe that Jesus did not fully provide for mankind and his total well being while upon the earth.

My desires is that no one would have to go thru what my family did, but in this day with which we live, if you do not build your self up you may fall prey to the enemy yourself. The word is not a lie because we may not receive it's truth's it is still true, but there are answers to any that desire to know, we are not in the dark unless we choose to be, Daddy already said yes, he does not change his mind.

It is one thing to believe the word of God and it is another to know the word of God, I know my testimony about health, and it did not come without a fight, and no one can steal from you your testimony.

No one can over come Satan without knowing the perfect will of God on any topic. but any one can in knowing and resisting the evil one.

ETbn, there you go wanting to be spoon fed again. Good grief girl instead of showing a little initiative and looking these people up you'll just sit back and let somebody do it for you. This is why you are all over the map.

Okay let me go back to your list and I will take them one by one for you.

Well now two if he gave half, he had to be a lot wealthier, the harvest is always bigger than the seed.

JOSEPH OF ARIMATHEA : (Mark 15, Luke 23, John 19) Again...A man weathly BEFORE he met Jesus. He was a secret disciple of Jesus because he was afraid to lose what he had. He is painted in Scripture more as a sympathizer.

ROMAN CENTURION (Matt 8, Luke 7) : No where does it day he was weathly however he was probably doing pretty good as a Centurion. Again he was a Centurion BEFORE he met Jesus and we don't see him following Jesus but rather asking for a favor, so why would you list him?
