If man has free will, then how is the Bible the Word of God?

The following Question is for those who insist that Fallen mankind has a free will.

If man has a perfectly free will, then HOW is the Bible the Word of God?

God could not CAUSE man to write His Word, because THAT would be violating his free will.

How can you say that the Bible is inerrant in all that it teaches, if it was written by men with free will?

Allow me to humbly explain to some folks;

God sets things up so we have to choose. He even sets them up to encourage the desired choice. It is the choice which reveals a sheep or a goat.

God certianly doesn't stamp every tenth person he creates 'sheep' and the other nine 'goat' before they are born.

Well they surrendered that will to the lordship to Jesus, and then Jesus called them Christians, the mystery has all been revealed to those that desire to know the truth.

ET, only a truly Sovereign God can allow free will, a lesser god has to rely on a dictatorial style to accomplish his purposes.

James replies:

You always presume fallen man is not really fallen, and he is just fine, and only needs a good example, and he will see it, and repent and obey. What in this world makes you think this? Do you live in some strange region where even half the people are Christians?

Your view of mankind is RADICALLY higher than what the Bible says.

You do realize you have been shown over ten verses of Scripture that have the word 'will' in them, and every single one either says

'NOT by the will of man", or "by the will of God" , or BOTH.

God does NOT "rely on a dictatorial style" to accomplish His purposes. God takes totally spiritually DEAD people, and MAKES THEM COME TO LIFE.

In Christ,

James

Jamrs; as you wish :

2Tim 3:16 "All Scripture is God breathed..."

2Pet 1:21 "For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."

It is God who turns the heart of man whichever way He pleases. It is God who gives the final say in the plans of man, it is the will and decision of God to stop or allow your plans to come to pass... and That's BIble.

Free will people are those who are disobedient and refuse tp hear the voice of God when He speaks to them... they are like a buger from Buger Kings, and God sits back and allow them to have it their way!:eat:

What have you done lately that you planned to go one way and it went another way?

It is only those who think they are their ownself boos and independant of God who think they have free will do plan their own course... it might be your free will to paint your house tomorrow, but Go dmay have another plan for you to do something else and never paint your house... spiritual thinking to know that you are not your own, but if you are full of pride then you would think you are your own self boss.

Have you read about Jonah and ll the rest who did as they pelased, but God showed them He was their boss and had the final word.

Wht about the prophet who decided he was going to do his own free will choice and went on a radi he was told not to go, what happened to him? He made a freewill decision and got killed... so no mand does not have a free will to do anything except it be disobedience!

ET, your words:

"What about the prophet who decided he was going to do his own free will choice ....he was told not to go....He made a freewill decision... so no man does not have a free will...."

then you add; "except to be disobedient"

so we have no choice in obedience? ...only in disobedience?

I think you are confusing Dictation from Inspiration.

The Holy Spirit INSPIRED the writers of Scripture to write. The Holy Spirit did not DICTATE to those writers what to write.

If Scripture was dictated then yes I would agree that there was no Free Will involved, but since it was notthe Authors were FREE to Write what was in their Hearts.

A Beautiful Sunset Inspires me to write a PoemFREE WILL!

A Lovely Woman Inspires me to write a SongFREE WILL!

If I tell you The Truth and you turn around and Write that TRUTHthat is FREE WILL in action! That is how The Biblehow Scripture came to be.

Capice?
