3 Simple Questions for the Bible Discussion Section Readers

Since this forum belongs to everyone; I have some questions for everyone who reads this section. I don't mean to be rude, and maybe I am wrong, if I am wrong please let me know.

Here is the situation as I see it; It is a free forum, everyone is free to post, however for it to be the best we must all submit to one another. That is why someone suggested it might be best for people to limit their "New Topic Posts" to one a day so that topics stay on page one long enough to get a good discussion. Sure you can go to page two, but you are basiclly discussing with yourself. Yet there are always some people who refuse to submit to one another and mess up a good things for everyone....(just my opinion).

So here are my questions :

1) Do you think it is a good idea for people to limit "New Topic Posts" to one a day, obviously with exceptions when you've a couple good things to post.

2) Do you think it makes the Bible discussions move to fast when people repeatedly post 2-3 New Topics a day?

3) Are you reading the "Bible Study 101" posts?

Feel free to answer yes/no or elaborate, but by ALL means please answer, this is not about bashing anyone personally, it is about letting your voice be politely heard so that all may act for the good of all.

yes, yes, and no

Actually, I tend to stay out of here because what really is discussed is why everyone else is wrong. They should rename this section to "Why your theology is wrong".

I agree with Cobbler about renaming the section. Way, way more "I'm right and you're wrong" -- as well as childish name calling -- going on in this thread then really meaningful discussion on Christian topics!

As for your questions Two:

Yes. At the most - two. Show some restraint and self-control. Give others a chance.

YES!

No. Too, too long. Too much soap-box grandstanding going on. That is just my opinion. I admit I stopped even opening those threads, so they may have changed and I just don't know it.

Hi,

Bible study is published for people who need it.

Praise the Lord that people- who pretend to be christians but in fact are unbelievers- have a chance to read the truth or at least words of God and some commentaries of christians.

Praise the Lord that His daughter helps Him to extend the Kingdom of God! :applause:

Same as everyone else: yes, yes, and no.

I almost never read in this section because of the way people argue over theology in here. I would rather not get caught up in arguments like that.

It seems fairly unanimous that people aren't reading the bible study posts - however some people do and benefit from them. I believe there is a feature to suggest a new group on the forums in which case future bible study type threads could have their own group? That should also solve the problem of topics being swamped by new ones.

As for cut and paste articles, anything longer than a few paragraphs is going to have most people:zzzz: so if you want to raise a point discussed in an article, just condense the message into a few lines and cite your source(s).

yes- I think posting to many things at once is bad because we dont have time to spend on a topic.

yes- I like to read and see how everyone else responds, I realy dont like cut and paste lengthy articles might be the add just joking but when I go into a topic would lilke read the thoughs not a novel its to lenghty and then to try and read other posts before they get moved is to much.

yes- sometimes I read the bible study.
