Everyone walks in Faith, but Faith in what?....or who?

1) Faith in only what one can touch or see.

2) Faith in only what can be intellectually understood and proven.

3) Faith in only what is logical or sounds right.

4) Faith in only in what makes one feel good.

5) Faith in only rituals or superstition.

6) Faith in only rules and laws.

7) Faith in only in Church history and tradition.

8) Faith in only the writings and teachings of other people.

9) Faith in only the Church.

10) Faith in only the Bible.

11) Faith in only Faith

.....and the list goes on and on.

Sorry if I sound fanatical, but I believe only One Faith will do : Faith in the person of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit out of which comes a real and true relationship with God as our Loving Father.....period

All you mentioned are of natural faith.

The faith that saves a man is supernatural

Once upon a time there some well known scholars of the Hebrew language that was contacted to translate Isiah 53, but they where not interested in the task.

One day they became aware of those that rendered a translation according to their doctrine, according to Calvin, they then became furious of their manipulation of the rendering of Isaiah 53 and then got involved and their translation matched the new testament.

When you study you will find out there is always much difference of opinion of Hebrew language.

We know that Isaiah covers all in the prophecy, It is my understanding Calvinist translated the esv version.

PJ, I have a ESV study Bible, (not my primary Bible), I'll check it out. But to be honest, I haven't found anything (yet) to dislike about it.

ESv in Philippians 2:6 implies Jesus could not grasp being equal to God.

Mk 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

11:2323 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and thrown into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. What is left off of the esv version, but the whole last phrase.

"ESv in Philippians 2:6 implies Jesus could not grasp being equal to God."

6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped Philippians 2:6

Please tell me where you got that? The verse doesn't imply what you say.

As far as Mark, what is your reasoning for the last part to be in there?

Ryan again you have to believe not reason not logic, neither are scriptual.

Ryan why is it ok for you to take away from the word of God or add to it.

Tell me what the law of sowing and reaping is:

Tell me what the law of faith is:

Now I know Ryan you say a christian can not know God's voice but I have since the day I confessed Jesus and then was born again.

It was and is he that points out to me continually the error of Calvinism

More than once he said to me ask James what the law of sowing and reaping is and what the law of faith is.

That is one of those questions he refused to answer, by the way these laws where introduced in Genesis, and they have never changed. and when the conditions are meet they will always produce.

It is funny how this once lost man, new nothing of God, and then he began to teach me his word, but you say what he has taught me is wrong, but you know Ryan what he has taught always works.

Believe me he loves Calvinist but he hates their doctrine not them. He does not take it lightly man calling him a liar much less man then preaching that lie as the gospel.

Ryan any Calvinist will be guilty of all those that are influenced away from God.

The question isn't why should it be there, Ryan. I ask you, why shouldn't it be? Why take away from God's Word?
