View Profile History	Why Was Jesus Manifest on the Earth? Posted : 16 Sep, 2010 11:00 AM I want to think all that responded to the post thus far and all your input. My intention is to bring into the light, what scripture says why Jesus was sent to the earth. for some reason many get caught up with the issue of sin, and I believe sin is just a symptom of the problem in scripture. If all Jesus accomplished was being a sacrifice for sin, man would have no different than before. 1Jo 3:8 He that committed sin is of the devil; for the devil sinne the from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. This scripture makes it real clear, all the works of the devil, when we go back to the gospels in light of this scripture we know all we seen Jesus doing was a part of destroying Satan's works. Remember the lord promised Satan he would bruise his head with the seed of the woman. When man sinned they went from God as their Spiritual father to Satan as their spiritual father or under Satan's dominion so of course sin was a problem. The bible tells us Satan is the father of sin, and we will see that by scripture man was under Satan's dominion. 1Jo 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; The death spoken of in heb. 2:14 is spiritual death. Eph 2:1 � And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Ephesians really opens it up to us, about Satan's dominion over man. There is volumes you could bring out on this subject, but this is enough for all of us to chew on for awhile. I believe the father's greatest desire for man was to redeem in back the place of intimacy and fellowship man had in the Garden. Post Reply

wademach1977 View Profile History	Why Was Jesus Manifest on the Earth? Posted : 16 Sep, 2010 10:06 PM I believe ever since adam and eve ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. God was not able to fellowship or even have a relationship with his children like he desired. I think Jesus came and died and resurrected to provide that. It is much more than this but I believe God wanted us to be in union with him and to have fellowship with him and it is very difficult to do that with us when our sin gets in the way of it.
