I'd like to hear from anyone who has visions and dreams or what you believe about them.
I have had hundreds of visions and dreams. Most of them are about things I will do or will see. There are times when I hear Father talking to me early in the morning as I am waking up. Sometimes I will be studying something in the Word and I can't understand it, or I'll have a dream or vision I don't understand. Then something will happen that explains it and I hear Him say, "See?" One time I had a vision that I was on a stage in front of a large crowd of very small people. They all looked like dark shadows. I was playing my guitar and singing for them and we were all singing together. A year later I was asked to lead worship at a place called The Potter's House in the town where I lived. I went there and was asked to sing on the porch of the house where the meeting was being held. The front yard of the place was full of black children who lived there in the projects. I started singing and I heard a sweet voice say, "See?" Sometimes I hear Father talking to me early in the morning as I am waking up. There's a lot more but I'll stop.
I want to hear what some you have experienced or believe.

God communicates to me often through dreams and visions. I could tell of many, many instances. Usually they are to provide guidance for some decision I am going to have to make. Or, there have been many instances that I have gone through a difficult thing and then will have a dream to help me make sense of it.
For instance, I used to work for a company that owned several branches. I was in charge of overseeing the performance of all the branches. I had a dream one night that a check bounced. The next morning I called all the Branch Managers and told each one, "I know this sounds strange, but please listen. I had a dream last night that someone had a check bounce. Please tighten all your procedures. Be sure to check and double check everything." One Branch Manager started when I said this. I asked her why she was . She said, "It wasn't one check but three checks." (To the tune of over half a million dollars) It had just happened that morning! Thank God we got it worked out. The company who gave us the three checks made them good, otherwise that would have obviously been devastating to our company.
I could tell many instances similar that were work related and many that were spiritual in nature.
I had a dream that exposed something my now ex husband, who I trusted completely, was doing. I think God gave me that dream to protect me.
I'm not sure about visions, I have had dreams about the "end", but those are the only really religious dreams I have and I wouldn't be able to say they were "from God". I can tell that the holy spirit at least "moves" me, because I will be moved to think about/study something, and then I will hear the same truth/topic coming from a lot of different sources and people. Like in the reformers time, there were a lot of reformers that had never come in contact with each other, but all they received the same reforming truth around the same time, and they were all moved to spread the truth. I guess you would call those "revelations" instead of dreams/visions...but it's close enough:winksmile:.
I truely enjoy this topic of discussion...but I'm unable and unwilling to openly discuss in open Forum...so I will just say...I have had both...some good...some not so good...
I'm surprised you posted this Thunder...whenever I post about prophetic things all I get is junk feed back.
God gives me dreams that sometimes need interpretation and other times, they are very straight forward. alot of times they have to do with my future/destiny but lately they have been about what I'm going through spiritually. I have many books on dream interpretation and the Lord will give me words of knowledge sometimes as to what they mean.
As far as visions go, I have them often. sometimes about me but usually about others, for encouragement and relating to their destiny.
when I'm interceding I get visions and the Lord would have me share my vision with that person usually for encouragement or direction. There have been times I only get bits n pieces and I will wait for the rest and just journal until Father God has me share.
As I pray for someone at church I get visions as well. Sometimes about their past or the Lord gives me words of knowledge to aid in their healing.
I'm very familiar with these giftings, God is so amazing :)

the dreams that scare you / bring fear are obviously NOT from Daddy. BUT the vivid ones ARE.
Trucker, God speaks all the time to us. Not all the time are we listening so we dont hear. Those people are speaking out of ignorance.
DO NOT listen to those people tell you that your not hearing from God. I went through that for 10 years...they made me think something was wrong with me. they called me "mystical" but I learned that was a big ugly lie.
When I first started hearing the Lord, I had to learn to decipher what was God and what was ME :)
when God is speaking to me, it's always in alignment with His Word and it's ALWAYS something I would never think of saying. I'm just not THAT good :)
I have always wondered how do you know what you went through was from God? I have had strange things happen to me that you would think I was crazy if I told you. I can not say one way or the other if it was God or another spirit. So how do you test the spirit, vision, dream to see if it is from God? If it contradicts scriptures I would feel rest assured it was not a spirit from God. If it tickles our emotions I am cautious about that because I can tickle some emotions on this form just by giving an honest opinion about tongues, women preachers or other wacky things that go on in the meeting places called church, even my opinion of a certain person here has tickled some emotions. Watch a movie and you can have your emotions tickled, I can dim the lights play soft music and lite candles to set the mood to tickle emotions, so how much of an expert has Satan become at tickling our emotions? I am not condemning dreams and vision, like I said I have had some experiences also that made me go hmmm but there was nothing that happen that made me go that was from God, I say I don't know.
About 2 years ago,i had invited 4 people out for dinner one Saturday night,yet only 3 showed.
I had started talking with these 3 about the Lord and his Word,from 1st Corinthains 13 about Love.
What I had shared was about the word Love from the Greek language.
The Word Love I said has about 5 or more definitions.
I went about sharing these definitions.
After dinner we all went our ways.
The next day was Sunday:
The fellowship was meeting in a different part of the building as they were hosting an overflow from the local mens shelter.
The three people i was with the night before were there.
The Elder speaking that day said that He was going to be speaking from a different Scripture then what he had been talking from,seeing that the fellowship was not in their usual meeting place..
Where do you think he was talking from,you got that right.
1st corinthians 13,he also goes on to say That in the Greek language there are four different words with their meanings pertaining to the word Love.
After the meeting,I asked these 3 if they had heard
anything,which we might have been talking about the night before.
They were utterly amazed.
This was not the first time this has happened;
This has happened as I had opportunity to share publicly the word:then the person teaching would say,I think george just shared what I wanted to say.
I happen to be nobody to the World,yet to my ABBA,I happen to be his adopted son...
I hope others have had exciting experiences with YHWH.
well I've never had a dream tickle my emotions so I'm not sure what that means.
I dont know what your view are because I have been off this specific forum because it just got to religious.
Mr Row, I suggest if you question the source of your dreams that you ask God. He'll let you know.
I get dreams like this: there is this huge car accident and people are laying on the street bleeding and crying out for help. I look around and I'm the only one that can hear them or see them. Of course I am fearful.. They are reaching out to me asking for my help, one is saying "doctor, help me"- I go to check out one of these people and i have a stethescope around my neck (?) I put my hands on their wounds and begin speaking in tongues and they stop crying. I look up and I see angels at the sides of the other people that were hurt tending to their wounds and I felt this incredible peace that I was not alone.
I woke up.
No I'm not a nurse or have ever wanted to be one.
I had another one similar: I'm in this old, cement building and I see hospital beds everywhere. The people in the beds are sick but not sick with anything obvious, in my dream I knew they were sick emotionally. Again I have this stethoscope around my neck, tending to them. I got the feeling I was the only doctor at that place but I had this peace and I felt the Lord in that building.
God often uses me for inner healing and deliverance and those dreams came to me when I was asking the Lord for direction.
sometimes I travel for work and one time I stayed in a Westin in Oakbrook, Il. I stayed in that night because I was so tired from the flight and driving from chicago in the snow and I went straight to bed. That night I had the worst dreams of demons coming for me. I stood my ground and began rebuking them, the more confidence I felt the smaller they got. They would get so close and almost touch me but they didnt. When I woke up, the dream continued. I heard whispering in the dark and you better believe I began quoting scripture. The whispering finally stopped and I made my way to turn the light on..and yes I fell asleep with it on.
I've had many dreams like this. God told me that the enemy will bring fear any way he can. If he can scare you in your dreams so that you wont stand up against him, he will.
If that happens to you, pray over your pillow, pray and anoint the threshold of your doorways. Keep an atmosphere of worship at all times.
