#1- Have you read through your entire Bible yet?

#2- Why do some of you never post on any forum outside of this one? We fight a little less on the other ones! :goofball:

1. Yes.

2. Have no idea why since I seem to 'fight' with u on most topics now lol. Well, I think it is just a matter of preferences, some only post on ask a guy/ask a girl/young adults forum. I can't speak for others, just a thought hehe.

Blessings.

...well...not really...I read revelation, and then read the whole bible up to revelation and stopped so I couldn't say that I have read it "all the way through", lol. It just seemed that if I "reached the goal" I wouldn't feel the need to read it as much or something. Stay out of my psycho mind!

I do! And we may fight less on the other forums, but I learn a lot more about the bible here.

@JesusLoves- We've never fought! You're a sweetie =)

@Mark- I used to post more on here, but it's intimidating for me sometimes, partly because of how heated they get sometimes and partly because it's mostly men and I get the feeling that a lot of the men on here like being just men because they mainly only talk to each other, even when a woman does post. Not you, but I've noticed it randomly where a woman posts in a thread and most the guys just completely pass over her comment.

Okay... So... confession... I've been saved since I was around 6 or 7, but still haven't made it all the way through my Bible. SO, if anyone else here also struggles with making it through certain Old Testament books, then PLEASE speak up and let me know I'm not alone here, okay? =)

Now, granted, Bible reading wasn't encouraged in my home and I was always told to do homework first and I was in accelerated classes and had a ton of homework (and was a perfectionist), so I never really got around to reading my Bible. I got into it a little in college, thanks to my wonderful mentor from Campus Crusade for Christ, but didn't really start a solid Bible-reading habit until 6-1/2 years ago. And I've read most of it, and quite a bit of bit many, many times over... BUT, there are a handful of books in the OT that I'm just really, really, really struggling w/ getting through. It will take me like 6 months sometimes to get through a book in the OT (such as Judges) because I keep skipping over to other parts of the Bible instead of doing my reading there. But, I have a list of the books I haven't read in the entirety, and am slowly but surely making my way through those.

1) Yes

2) I've only now started posting on this forum, and frankly, I'm over the theological debates. If some are to be believed, I'm doubly-dam*ed for being both shy and preaching eternal security. Whatever. I don't care.

I don't think it's a requirement to read it all the way through, it's just recommended to search it.

Pixy, I do enjoy the comments women make.It seems as if women do not fight as much as guys.maybe that is why guys donot reply on a ladies post.Now if you were a lady pastor that might change.Dennis

@Dennis- I do not think that women should be pastors, but that's a topic for another thread!

Perhaps part of the problem here is that threads are bumped to page 2 after sometimes only being up for a couple of days. This doesn't give people much time to comment before it's "out of site, out of mind." And it probably also has something to do w/ the topics themselves. The topics that involve debates tend to get the most attention over here. It seems like a lot of people would rather debate (and argue) Scripture than discuss the actual application of it.

While accuracy of interpretation is certainly important, if there's no application then what's the point?

It would be nice to see less debating and more encouragement to experience God on a deeper level and to live out His Word in our lives.
