Has God Cast Off Israel Forever?

Based on what scripture teaches us, God is not through with Israel. There will be a remnant saved, the covenant promises God made with Abraham and David will be fulfill in its fullness.

What say you?

The bible states very clearly that 144.000 Jews will be saved at the end times. 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel.

1. I believe that Israel means "spiritual Israel", and that is all of God's chosen people.

2. There is one verse that COULD mean that right before Christ returns that the majority of ethnic Jews, would accept Jesus.

3. The modern nation of Israel, is not mentioned in Scripture.

4. God saves whomever He wants and the fact is He HAS ALREADY saved a remnant of the ethnic Jews, and you can worship with them and see for yourself!

In Christ,

James

Romans 11 seems quite clear

19 You will say then, Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in. 20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. 22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness,[f] if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. 23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved,[g] as it is written:

The Deliverer will come out of Zion,

And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;

27 For this is My covenant with them,

When I take away their sins.[h]

1. James, maybe you should for the sake of the discussion, explain what it is that you mean by "spiritual Israel", for those who do not know..

2. Also, are you saying that morden Israel will not be saved, and God has fulfilled His covenants and promises to Abraham and David, and the remnant of ethnic Jews has already been saved? Do you have scriptures supporting this?

Because a remnant of ethnic Jews is not all of Israel as the scripture tells us. And if only the ethnic Jews have already been saved, and this has already happened, then Romans chapters 9-11, is completed and the new covenant and promise to bring salvation to ALL of Israel and restore her has been fulfilled.

I think they young lady made mention, (sorry I forgot to get her name), but the above post, so states in Romans 11:25-32, that ALL of Israel will be saved.

Please go into more detail in scritpures.

Ella,

I believe James was referring to this scripture, it has been interpreted that way by most. I believe they are correct, that is why I posted the verse I quoted, to see if anyone came up with this.

Rom 9:6 But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel,

Rom 9:7 nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, "IN ISAAC YOUR SEED SHALL BE CALLED."

Rom 9:8 That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.

Rom 9:9 For this is the word of promise: "AT THIS TIME I WILL COME AND SARAH SHALL HAVE A SON."

Leon, I see nothing in these verses speaking about a "spiritual Israel"... I would like to know upon what scriptures James bases his comment, and what he means when he says "a spiritual Israel will be saved", and that a remnant of ethnnc Jews have already been saved.

God is definitely not finished with Israel.

And James, there is no such thing as "spiritual Israel". Furthermore, Israel is mentioned in every prophetic OT book right up to and including the second coming of Christ and into the Mil. Be careful to not replace Israel with the Church [Replacement Theology].

Jeremiah 31:33-36

But this [shall be] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, [and] the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts [is] his name:

If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, [then] the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

Isaiah 45:17,25

[But] Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.

In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.
