Is it not good to know we are in a new Covenant, we have a covenant under and in the life of God and the love of God is all over the earth today and that love is continually saying come unto me and I will give you rest, learn of me.
He is not sitting on his try to come up with ways to destroy mankind, but to bring them to love he manifested unto them in his Son.
For he is the God that said I am not willing, that any should perish.
He is not the God full of anger and malice as some would like to project.
Yes he is to be respected and revered, but he is not a tyrant and he gave us only begotten son for all of mankind's sin, not one left unpaid for, nor is he the respecter of mankind as some would like others to believe.
SrJames ~ Interestin article...ya dug deep for that one...
PJ ~ you stated "He is not the God full of anger and malice as some would like to project."
God is Merciful Love yes...but also as our Father...he holds Wrath...jus as Jesus turned the tables over in the Temple...
God does not speak Dreadful Threats or False Promises...He Speaks an is Truth...God loves All an All will be judged accordin to God...that is no Threat, that is a Promise...Revelations...xo
No one said he is not a just Judge, we happen to be under a covenant of love and he has made it clear that we have been delivered from his wrath, and that is the same message we are to take to the world.
2nd Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christs stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Just wanted to ask; what part do you think the Bible gives you in the "New Covenant" you are speaking of? Please show me the reason and scripture that let's you lay claim to this covenant, thank you.
sure I can clarify. You indicated, (more than once), earlier in this thread you were part of the new covenant. You used the terms "we", "were", etc... implying quite plainly that you consider yourself part of the New Covenant.
Can you please show me what verse/passage you rely on for that doctrine? Where, in all the Bible, do you feel assured that the new covenant applies to you?
My first question was fairly plain, and this one is spelled out in the most basic presentation. So if you cannot answer this time, or if you reply with another question of alleged mis-understanding...we may realize that you are avoiding a simple question.
I'm sorry to put you on the spot but, the truth is the truth. This is the second time I asked the same very basic question. Will it take a third request?
