You won't see me down here much because of all the debate. Don't get me wrong, I love to debate ISSUES, but not the Word of God. Teaching, explaining yes, debate, no.
Our different denominations to me, are a carefully devised plan of Satan that divides us. It is a direct contradiction of the scripture, One Lord, one faith, one baptism. I don't believe when we get to heaven, there will be the baptist district and the COGIC county. We should be unified in the faith. I image God shaking His head saying, my children, my children!
It is very evident that there are some that are no longer teachable. Once you're said your piece, you become an enabler of the foolishness when you keep trying to persuade those who evidently can't receive from you, 7-8 pages and hundred's of replies later.
Also, the teacher in me wants to put red marker all over my laptop computer screen. When you write a post, can yall please proofread yo stuff? (Sorry, bad grammar causes me to lapse ghetto). Read back through to see how it flows. Will we get what you are trying to say? Does it make sense? If a red squiggly line appears under yo word, please put your cursor on the word and right click yo mouse and find the correct spelling.
And for the love of all that is holy, when yall talk about my Father please capitalize God, Christ, and Lord! :prayingm: A small g in god is only appropriate when speaking of one that is false or an idol.
Alright, Ima go ahead back on up to the more light-hearted forums. Yall have a nice day!
... and how you durrrin?... oooppps, I mean doing, not durrrin :waving::laugh:
I'm sure my posts are marked up with red, and rightly so ... but where is your compassion for typing dyslexia,? and what about us old folks...uh, I mean, the seasoned folk who can't type?... should we get extra points for trying to type and spell correctly...
BG, You're so right on, and I'm so glad you made those important points about capitalizing the name of our Lord. It shows respect to His name and to who He is as being Divine.
Wonderful post. Now you can go back to your kwana... uh, I mean corner... see, there goes the ghetto in me as well.:yay::bow:
Dang, yall don't let threads marinate long do you? Yall start about 10 a day.
 ET I love it!! Ghetto/slang talk is awesome! Throw it in any time.
Ghetto speak is not to be mistaken with bad grammar. There is no excuse for 20 misspellings in one post when spell check is automatic. I am not perfect, and I hit myself up side the head V8 style all the time when I've missed a word that I meant to include or my mind worked faster than my hands and I write in extra words. :dunce:
But when I feel like I have to ask, 'are you smarter than a 5th grader'?, theres a problem. If you are going to write something here, let it be well thought out and take care how you present yourself.
As a teacher, I understand illiteracy and I am very compassionate about those can do no better. Many posts read as if they were written angrily and hurriedly with no care for how it sounds and what it looks like. I sometimes miss the point of what's being said because I have to decipher and encrypt what looks like a foreign language.
I'm just sayin'.
That post yall did a couple of days ago was funny and appalling all at once. At some point somebody with the Holy Ghost needed to find some shut mouth grace and let the thing die. And I did see some people stop chiming in. Everybody talkin' and no one listenin'......
Also, the mature understand that everyone will not see things as you do, and as Christians the name calling and evident anger was/is uncalled for. It's a bad witness to the unsaved and young in Christ. Jesus did not shed blood so that His children could bicker over His Word.
Don't take it personal. Healthy debate leaves your emotions in check.
 BG, now see, that's why you have need to pop in every so often, and not stay away so long. You're right, I had to laugh at myself at that post because I knew it was fit to be tired :excited:
Ghetto talkin is awesome... a language of its own to be reckon with:yay: it sets you free:rocknroll: and sometimes its the best way to get your points across, just down to earth with. No holds bar...:dancingp:
Sorry for bad spelling if I do it. The thing is I learned British English in school and mix things up. And I have red lines under each word, because my browser is a German version (in this sentence only the word "in" is without red line ;))
I am not sure what you mean with debating the word of God. What is a debate on the word of God, and what is a debate on an issue? I think sometimes one has to get clear beforehand about what one means when she or he says "word of God". Some mean the bible, or a special translation only, some mean sothing less precise, something that one can find in the bible, but also in a godly sermon...
Hey Benny, naw babyboy, I'm not talking to you who were not born here in the good US of A. If English is not your first language, I don't have high expectations. I can hear your accent when I read your and Sos' posts.
Not that I think anyone should be trying reach my personal expectation. It was just an observation and my opinion.
I think people can do better if they tried. Who wants to present themselves as less intelligent and literate than they actually are?
Thanks Ella, you are so encouraging and knowledgeable in the Word. Are you in ministry in some way?
Benny, because of the different denominations, we all see the Word and interpret it differently. It's very unfortunate, but it is a fact of life right now. I'm just saying why would I argue baptism with a baptist, knowing where he/she stands? Why would I argue the doctrine of speaking in tongues with a pentecostal?
When we believe each other to be in error, once we've talked about it in love and in an intelligent, calm, reasonable way, to go on arguing is futile, a waste of time and energy. We should pray for each other and move on to the next thing. If Jesus is your Lord and Savior, it's all good.
I like to debate issues and use scripture among other things in reference and in support of my stand. :rocknroll:
I was just reading my post, when below I see an advertisement for the Ultimate Holistic Experience.
DUDE!!! Why is there a Wiccan advertisement on a Christian site? :boxing:
I just saw this same ad on my Facebook page and was just about to change tabs and speak a warning in my status, when I see the same ad here.
I know it takes audacity to say anything at all when these ads allow us to have this free service, but I am extremely disappointed that a pagan religion gets space here.
I have to agree. Some of these BUSTAS on here think the are ALL THAT but sound like they are either BLUNTED or BUGGIN. They try to DROP SCIENCE but usually start going BUCK WILD and start throwin' BOLOS . It's hard to differentiate the CIPHERS.
A lot of us mess up by going FREE STYLE, and don't proofread our responses for errors.
I think some people, though they mean well, can't seem to get their point across. They know ( That includes me) what they want to say, but forming it into an intelligible response escapes them.
Others seem to have an agenda. They are on here for one purpose, to cause dissention. They spread rhetoric like it's gospel and insults like manure.
BTW, gospel means "good news."
It takes a real brave and well prepared person to stand up to them (Like ET), also have to be as clever and witty as they are (Babygirl).
I usually opt to stay out so I can watch them shoot themselves in the foot.
