Matthew 7:21-23 (King James Version)

21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

brothers and sisters, let us examine our relationship with Christ. he is the one who makes intercessions on our behalf.

the persons in the above scriptures will list all his/her works that were done for the kingdom of God. but God will reject them because "I never knew you". the almighty God is lowered himself in likeness of a man so we might find boldness to approach him, and have a relationship. why do we forgo this pleasure? for works? for pride?

how much time do we spend each day at the foot of God, whether in our closet or in our hearts? how many hours do we "waste" because we simply cannot bare to stop gazing upon his face? take a page out of mary's book brethren. while her sister was busy about the house she just sat at his feet. GOD IS NOT FEEBLE! he promised to bless us, just give him the time of day. why spend hours flipping through profiles looking for the one, when Jesus came and went couple thousand years ago! a relationship with God will open up doors for YOU. just spend some time with him, try to see his face in your brothers and sisters and enjoy his company every where you go. life is not a picnic, but with Jesus in the ship!! i cannot tell you how much troubles come my way, but i survive because of his face, if he would only take his eyes off me i would literally die because it is the only thing that MAKES anything. where do we find time to pull each other down? that time should be spend making our calling and election sure. not flexing our muscles on how much scripture we know, and how good we can interpret it. God said that he would put the words in our mouths if ever we are to speak! he qualifies the call!

Hey Nyanda =)

Thanks for the great post. It's both encouraging and convicting.

And please don't be discouraged... You know how people slow down on the highway when there's a wreck over on the shoulder? I think that's part of why my "getting along" thread has so many views. So just be glad that your thread's not a wreck, but rather, a source of encouragement =)

Nyanada, its is VERY funny!... I mean this material is fit for Saturday Night Live:excited:

I encourage you and Pixy to keep and not be easily beset or offended by the off the hook comments from some of these guys... now you know, if you find a guy you're interested in, get him on the forum first, before you relase your heart. This forum is a great place to test the spirit of a person and in doing so , you will find out whether he is truly walking in, and of the Holy Sprit of God, OR if he is of, and in his own spirit and that of his father the devil.

As we are taught in the word, BE WATCHFUL IN ALL THINGS! you guys are too smart and are learning many spiritual things about the Lord, and how to connect the spiritual dots of God's word, and apply them properly...so don't you ladies go trying to be a trainer, ya can't change the spots on a leopard...:excited::laugh::peace::dancingp::rocknroll::yay::boxing::toomuch::bow::bouncy:

Nyanda,

One reason you should consider when you don't get many replies, is because that means that people are agreeing with you!

Many more people will reply back to something they disagree with, than something they do agree with.

Anyways, amen to your post! You sounded like a puritan there in parts!!

James

i only made that comparison due to the clear contrast in climate on both threads. it was ironic to me. i wondered where all those people came from and why and then it was clear, "Jesus wept"! :dunce:

i had to google what a puritan was, i learn new things on here everyday i tell ya!

what ever i sound like i just want to to be music to his ears...:prayingf:

If you were to ask the question "In all of two thousand years of church history, which group of Christians do you think were the most mature in the faith"?

I would answer: "The Puritans"
