Since we know that because of preordained foreknowlege, man can not resist the love of God, the lord will just save them and they will not resist and they will never depart from the faith.
So a man just has to accept his elected wife according to preordained foreknowledge and she will not tell you no, she will love you forever.
That is just a plan stupid allegory, but considering the source what do you expect. I don't care about you but it gives me GREAT comfort knowing God is in control of EVERYTHING.
The thought that if I was left a lone to make the right decision for my eternal fate would terrify me! Because I would make the wrong decision, the wrong way, at the wrong time! But God in His perfect will and timing raised me from the dead and adopted me into His family.
When was last time a dead person decided to raise himself and choose the family that will adopt him?
My broken clock is way ahead of you on being right! 2-0 today already! :goofball:
Remember i never speak of my words but my father's word, so if you have a problem with his word that is between you and him.
12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
13 For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation
His word is a light unto my path and a lamp unto my feet.
If God doesn't want the clock to be fixed, it won't happen. God is souvereign!
You cannot make Him do anything by praying. He is not under your control, nor under the control of anybody or anything else.
This is a wrong gospel, to say that one could make God do something. It's what some preach as the prosperity gospel: Pray rightly and you get rich, and if you don't you didn't pray rightly or hard enough. God isn't like that, He is not our toy to play around with, He is no wishing machine, He is the creator of everything, Lord of everything that ever was and ever will be. He is souvereign above all, and He will not be controlled by anything, be it prayer, be it magic, be it a certain way of living and following rules.
But He loves us. And His love is as pure as we cannot imagine. But this love still does not make Him predictible, like you can without His revelation foresay anything about Him. It won't work. Ever.

PJ, it brings us nowhere if you always refer to what I say as man's gospel and to everything you say as the word of God. I take my points from the same source you do. I read the bible, I pray, I think, I experience the Lord. If this is man's gospel to you, okay, than yours isn't any better I'm afraid.
But like this talk is useless, except for you ewant me to follow you and not question you ever again. But I won't do that, for the bible tells me to check all and keep the good.
NO YOU QUOTE MAN, THE LORD DID NOT SAY WHAT YOU SAY.
R0MANS 10:1 Brethren, my hearts desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of Gods righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
BENNY IS THIS MY WORD?
DOES THE WORD OF GOD REVEAL MAN'S RESPONSIBILITY TO BE SAVED.
DOES THE WORD OF GOD NOT MENTION HERE, WHOSOEVER WILL?
DOES THE WORD OF NOT MAKE IT CLEAR, ANYONE CAN BE SAVED IF THEY OBEY THESE SCRIPTURES.
WHERE DOES IT SAY BENNY, ONLY MY ELECT?
IF WHOSOEVERS CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD THEY WILL BE SAVED, FOR THE LORD CANNOT LIE.
