Shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? And He says, I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things. So for us who know that God loves us, it is a great comfort to also know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Amos 3:6; Isaiah 45:7;Romans 8:28 I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted. (Ecclesiastes 7:14; Job 42:2)

What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? , In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Knowing He is in control of ALL THINGS, we can easily believe in all things God works for the good of those who love him. And He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-- how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

So then, no more boasting about men! All things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future-- all are yours, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.

For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"), yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

He made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment-- to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.

And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

We will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.

For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

In these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.

The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

"You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."

-In Christ

That is as arrogant as arrogant as man does not have a will to choose.

Man does have a will, but not when it comes to salvation. Salvation strikes true. Within being lost or within being saved you have you will which you follow. But you do not switch from being lost to being alive by yourself. Just like someone (manofgod?) said before: The dead do not chose to live again, they are resurrected by the Lord.

Hey! Hey! Give credit where credit is due! ;-)

It gives me great comfort to know God is in TOTAL control of my salvation. Knowing He choose me and then dragged, forced or crammed it down my throat makes me want to leap for joy!!!

No decision I made while dead brought me to life. I did not accept anything and didn't ask Jesus in my heart. I received the free gift from God the Father who chose me before the foundations where laid, now that is truly amazing grace!!!!

"I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, (Deuteronomy 30:19)

"And if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." (Joshua 24:15)

Jesus answered them, "Did I Myself not choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil?" (John 6:70)

Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. (Psalm 25:12)

Because they hated knowledge, And did not choose the fear of the LORD. (Proverbs 1:29)

Do not envy a man of violence, And do not choose any of his ways. (Proverbs 3:31)

"He will eat curds and honey at the time He knows enough to refuse evil and choose good. (Isaiah 7:15)

For thus says the LORD, "To the eunuchs who keep My sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant, (Isaiah 56:4)

I will destine you for the sword, And all of you shall bow down to the slaughter. Because I called, but you did not answer; I spoke, but you did not hear. And you did evil in My sight, And chose that in which I did not delight." (Isaiah 65:12)

So I will choose their punishments, And I will bring on them what they dread. Because I called, but no one answered; I spoke, but they did not listen. And they did evil in My sight, And chose that in which I did not delight." (Isaiah 66:4)

(there's a bamillion other verses that say "believe", "have faith", etc...but I'll let you find them, lol...they're in there though...have a look)

I believe God knows and plans everything, but I do not believe He forces our salvation. I understand the point that no one could come to God on His own, but that is why God spreads His seed everywhere...to use His influence to give everyone a chance to be saved. Half the bible makes no sense if God forces these things on us, and Jesus would not have had to die for sins that God causes people to commit. I believe that instead of "God forcing someone with no choice"...it's "God influencing someone with a foreseen and planned for choice". Nothing is outside of the will of God...because He's already planned for it to happen, but there's a really LARGE difference between "planning for something" and "forcing something". Responsibility shifts to the one forcing...or to the one "not giving 'said person' any other option" blah blah blah...free will. Otherwise this is a big puppet show. Amen.
