My personal view The difference between the True Christian is if the believer believes and confesses that Jesus was the Son of God was born of a virgin and died on a Cross for sin for you because he had no sin (perfect sacrifice for my sin) then he rose again on the 3rd day, then this is the truth. The False Christian is if the believer believes and then he confesses something other than that belief that believer has a anti Christ Spirit. (The False Believer or Anti-Christian). The real Christian faith came from when Peter confessed who he believed Jesus was. When Jesus asked his disciples who do you say that I am ? and Peter is the one who stood up and spoke (confessed who he believed who he really was from within his heart). Then if you read the bible you should know what Jesus said after Peter confessed....what a glorious moment.... GivenLife :) Post Reply

Posted : 5 Feb, 2010 02:16 PM A true Christian believes and does that which the word of God tells us we should and most importantly has a RELATIONSHIP with God. A false Christian is someone who claims to believe and may even do certain things that God tells us to do but for false reasons. Such as for the sake of THEIR name! It will be these people that God says to on judgment "Depart from me for I knew you not!" Sadly there seems to be a lot of those types of "Christians" out there. Post Reply

The servant that didn't show mercy, the servant that buried his talent in the ground...it all boils down to whether or not we're treating/loving our fellow man like Jesus loved us. Walk like Jesus walked....that's a true Christian. Unfortunately,we fail all the time...but that's why Jesus died. Have to try as hard as we can though... :peace::peace: Post Reply

Posted : 5 Feb, 2010 04:28 PM dear folks, it is my belief that youre either a christian or ya aint.. youre either saved or ya aint.. in other words to me theres no level of superiority as in true christian, then just christian, then not so good a christian..then backslidin christian ,, level of christian.. to me theres just christian or ya aint.. i mean even a backslidin christian is still a christian less theyve chosen to not believe IN JESUS ANYMORE. and dont want their salvation anymore.. now all be it they need some serious workin out some sin problems they may be havin.. yet they still a christian.. to me.. ole cattle Post Reply

Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. We all fall short in the glory of God, the difference is we (christians) acknowledged our sinfulness and humbly ask for forgiveness from God. For He is the only way, the truth , & the life. I agree with yall... ima a do or dont...black or white kinda gal...so you either are or arent...its up to each person an there walk with the LORD to figer that out for them self... It leads a person to be very skeptical in these times...I guess its just a experience that I was to go through to tell me "That U should not put all your trust in anyone but God. View Profile History	What is the Differance... Posted : 8 Feb, 2010 08:48 PM Just to speak from another angle. We have to be careful in our interpretation of who is a Christian and who isn't. In Matthew 13 there is the parable of the wheat and the tares. The enemy planted the tares and when the disciples asked if they should pull them up, they were reproved because they wouldn't know who was the tares and who was the wheat in every circumstance. Verse 39, I believe, "no lest when you pull up the tares, you pull up the wheat with them." It is easy to confuse the two for this reason. God looks at the heart while man looks on the outward appearance. King Saul seemed more morally upright than King David but King David had a heart for God. One of the issues of a heart for God is in the midst of great moral failure, that person cries out to be delivered. He owns up to his lack and desperate need and doesn't cover his sin or excuse it. I think we will be very surprised when all is said and done as to whom God approves and whom has come short of His eternal purpose. Just some food for thought. Post Reply

All really good stuff here...I dont know much...but I do know that it aint my place ta be judgein or sayin who is or isnt a Christain. Also know deep down in my heart that it is my place to love ya no matter what... I believe my Pastor was askin this question ta see an hear what some of the congregation thought...gota say it caused me ta think a bit...xo Post Reply
