So what does the sanctuary message reveal for us today? It reveals that as Christians we CANNOT just stop at the altar of sacrifice (The cross of Jesus Christ). Coming to the cross is just the beginning of the journey for us, which is why the apostle Paul said: Hebrews 6:1. In other words, let us leave the basic principle of turning to the cross and turning away from sin, and move on in our faith. The journey through the sanctuary is the journey we MUST take as Christians. From the altar of sacrifice (Jesus on the cross), to the laver of water (baptism), to studying the Word of God (shewbread), to prayer (incense), to the witnessing and shining the light of Jesus to the world (candlestick), to the law of God, the ten commandments (into God's presence in the most holy place with the Ark of the Covenant). And yet there are so many Christians who say, "I just need to believe in Jesus". And they stop right there. So what have they done? THEY HAVE STOPPED AT THE ALTAR OF SACRIFICE AND REJECTED THE REST OF GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION. EVEN THE DEMONS BELIEVE AND TREMBLE! (James 2:19). Coming to the cross of Jesus is just the beginning of our Christian faith. It is here that the journey has just begun!
Before the fall, Adam and Eve enjoyed walking with Jesus in the garden, but sin caused a separation between man and God. (Isaiah 59:2)
So ultimately God is leading us back into His presence, and it is through His Son that He leads us back to Him.
Now can you have Jesus and NOT study the Word of God (if it is available to you?) No. Can you have Jesus and NOT be a light to the world? No. Can you have Jesus and NOT communicate to the Father through prayer? No. Can you have Jesus and NOT strive to keep ALL ten commandments (including the 7th day Sabbath? No. And this is the point. If you truly believe in Jesus, and surrender your life to Him, then He will lead you through the sanctuary plan and reunite you with God.
GREAT and WONDERFUL post and POINT you are trying to make about the OT sanctuary message and the symbolism of the sanctuary 'furnature' if you will compared with the Messiah Yah'shua! BUT what is really sad today is most all so called 'churches' DO NOT tell you the NT sanctuary message that continues on in heaven from the old and NOT in the OT on earth, for that temple building is destroyed and NEVER to be erected again! That's right, the majority CULT 'churches' today teach Messiah Yah'shua (the Everlasting Father Himself in the flesh - (Isaiah 9:6, John chapter 1), just sits on the right hand of the Father doing nothing, when the truth is He goes into the most holy offering His sacrifice to those that are sorry about their >>>PAST<<< sins and realize they were sinners before His Father YHWH!
Your right again that 'Christians' 'who say, "I just need to believe in Jesus", and they stop right there.' 'So what have they done?' 'THEY HAVE STOPPED AT THE ALTAR OF SACRIFICE AND REJECTED THE REST OF GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION' WHICH IS HIS POWER OVER SIN IN THE FUTURE! Like you said - 'EVEN THE DEMONS BELIEVE AND TREMBLE! (James 2:19).' BUT THEY DO NOT OBEY Torah Law because that means RULES and OBEDIENCE! Like so called 'Christians' today, they say NO THANKS to keeping Torah Law BUT I'm a believer!!! SAY WHAT??? NO WORKS TO PROVE YOUR FAITH??? So YESSSSSS. 'Coming to the' pole/tree 'of' Messiah Yah'shua 'is just the beginning of our Christian faith. It is here that the journey has just begun!' AMEN Pipiripi!!!
The straight-forward message of the letter of Hebrews has no relationship or similarity to someone's made up allegory and typology.
Read Hebrews as it is and don't read things into it. Christ is greater than angels. He is greater than Moses. He is greater than Aaron and Levi. He is greater than the temple and the sacrifices. The sacrifices of the law were offered repeatedly. Christ's sacrifice was once because it accomplished what the temple sacrifices could not do.
You have plainly indicated that Christ's sacrifice wasn't enough to take away all sins. The message in Hebrews is different than what you and so many others say. The sacrifices under the law had to be repeated because each one only covered one occasion of sin. The sacrifice of Christ took care of every sin for all time. Otherwise, it would have been necessary for Christ to die over and over since the beginning of the world(hebrews 9:26).
Essentially you, along with the roman catholics and the rest of the salvation by works teachers, say that his sacrifice was only enough to take care of some of our sins. Christ did not die just for the sins that you did before God saved you. That teaches that we would have to atone for our sins by our works. Some works teachers know that. Others don't say it as plainly that. If the death of Christ was necessary to take care of the sins you did before he saved you, why would you think you could do something to atone for the others?
I know only God can convince you of your error. Of course, God did use someone to show me in his word I was wrong. May God open your eyes to his truth.
Since GOD Almighty is outside of time,He saw the cross before He created the tree Yeshua would be crucified on.
Actually every persons sins were forgiven by the Father before anything had been created.
John saw Messiah as a lamb slain BEFORE the foundation of the world.
He tasted death for EVERY person.
A person POSSESSES forgiveness of their sins when they trust Yeshua.
Matthew 9 verses 1-7
1Jesus got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own town. 2Just then some men broughta to Him a paralytic lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven.”
3 On seeing this, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming!”
4 But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said, “Why do you harbor evil in your hearts?
5 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk?’
6 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” Then He said to the paralytic, “Get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”
7 And the man got up and went home.
Verse 2 'Your sins ARE forgiven, He did not go to the cross yet.
Hello OhioGrace! Your really hung up on just one book (Hebrews) here lately I noticed and your self interpretation of it, yet fail to take the context of the entire Bible on any given subject.
When we are discussing the REAL sacrifice, neither Pipiripi nor I are saying Messiah Yah'shua one time sacrifice is not enough to take away all sins, which of course the penalty of sin is DEATH (not 'eternal torment' that littledavid dreams into Scripture! ) is what Messiah Yah'shua paid the price of IN FULL! Got it now? Its impossible to earn salvation by works and keeping Torah Law we broke while we were yet sinners before, because we would have to pay the price of sin (which is breaking Torah Law) and die ourselves in our sins and we would cease to exist because of our disbelief in a Savior that did die for our sins, WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS! Got it now?
So where in either of our posts do you quote us as saying - 'Christ's sacrifice wasn't enough to take away all sins'??? Talk about reading things into others posts, like the book of Hebrews you mentioned you claim others do!
You get very confused of what purpose the animal sacrifices were for. The book of Hebrews as well as the rest of the CONTEXT of the Bible is REAL clear that the only purpose of the animal sacrifices was to FIRST show the ugliness of sin and a PERFECT UNBLEMISHED (representing the REAL PERFECT UNBLEMISHED Messiah Yah'shua that would come later, that was sacrificed from the foundation of the stationary non moving earth! Right?) animal had to DIE for the sinner, to take his/her place! Got it? Not that it paid the price of sin, ok?
You speak as if we are saying there is then a need to be multiple sacrifices of Messiah Yah'shua, like the cathoholics have Him hanging on their PAGAN symbol of a 'cross' all the time! When the truth is Father YHWH KNOWS who will be saved or not, BEFORE Messiah Yah'shua even was made from the Father and a ONE TIME sacrifice coming in the NT! GEESH! Don't you believe Father YHWH is ALL KNOWING and WHO will be converted in the end??? So the OT temple sacrifices were continual to show the ugliness of sin and could NEVER pay the price of sin with an animal for a human, for ONLY a PERFECT SIN FREE HUMAN could pay that price of death! You worry me about your discernment of Scripture OhioGrace!
SOOOOOO it is NOT necessary for Messiah Yah'shua to die over and over again as you say we are claiming, 'since the beginning of the world' as you quote Hebrews 9:26 but strangely leave out verse 25 which clearly says He is NOT to offer Himself often (by dying again!) in the REAL heavenly sanctuary that CURRENTLY exists in HEAVEN as we speak! verse 25 says Messiah Yah'shua IS THE HIGH PRIEST that goes into the MOST HOLY PLACE, where His Father is and His Torah Law under Him (Ark of the Covenant!) with His ONE TIME sacrifice! Right?
So I know only YHWH can convince you of your error. Of course, Father YHWH could use someone to show you in His WORD (which is the Messiah Yah'shua in the flesh!) you are wrong. May Father YHWH open your eyes to His truth!
Now you speak of WORKS! Which can ONLY take place (good works that is!) AFTER initial salvation and conversion! Is not James real clear that WORKS/ACTIONS follows Grace by FAITH??? (see also Ephesians 2:8-10 and CAUTION most CULT and so called churches' leave OUT verse 10!). Why not look at CONTEXT of clear Scripture, to see if WORKS proves a Messianic/Christians FAITH today AFTER they are saved from their sins?
James 2:17-24 in CONTEXT
17. Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21. Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22. Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23. And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Yeah OhioGrace, thanks for your misleading post of what we actually said! Still waiting for your response after your unfounded judgment and discernment on what we both posted in this actual thread about the on going sanctuary in heaven in this thread! Care to seriously debate this and admit your error that we never said Messiah Yah'shua was to continually die for our sins but IS a ONE sacrifice, which He is!!! Got it?
tinyinfaithdavid writes - 'Teddy’s you claim you live by grace but then you command people to keep the law.'
What follows GRACE by FAITH >>> after<<< the freely given salvation when we were STILL sinners at that point and no longer are but washed of them? Does not GOOD WORKS follow FAITH and that would INCLUDE keeping His TORAH LAW afterward, that we did not do at first but ALL HAVE BROKE IT at some point in our >>>PAST<<< lives? So what WORKS proves YOUR faith then tinyinfaithdavid after the initial free salvation gift? Do you go back to your original sins, denying good works??? FAITH and WORKS go hand and glove my ignorant indoctrinated lad!
What part of ' Book of Galatians' are you flapping your PAGAN gums about? Put up or shut up!
NOW back to GOOD WORKS that PROVE OUR FAITH!
Speak of FAITH PLUS WORKS!

False teacher TeddyBug, fyi, James doesn’t teach your kind of heretical sinless perfectionism that supposedly comes after your false “salvation”. Abraham never taught that, Rahab never taught that and James never taught that.
Only you and you false sinless perfectionist teachers think the fleshly sin nature just goes away after “salvation”. Which you probably don’t have because you’re a lying false teacher..
