It's revelation time.
This topic is regarding the love that waxes cold in this ending of the world, Matthew 24:12, and the predictions of men being lovers of their own selves, 2 Timothy 3:2, and of being complainers, walking after their own lusts and speaking great swelling words of vanity Jude 1:16.
First, the revelation that the true testimony of the Lord is BITTER, to the BITTER ( the complainers, envious and self lovers of pleasures) but in the mouth of the Apostles it is sweet....
Psalm 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Revelation 10:10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
But back onto what this means for men of the world, men of iniquity( ungodliness/unrighteousness/sin) they drink up iniquity like water, and the waters become bitter of wormwood ( the testimony of God is very bitter to them not sweet as honey to our taste:
Job 15:16 How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?
Revelation 8:11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
The testimony for all the world guilty of sin before the Lord is, their throat is death, deceitful, with poison, full of cursing and BITTERNESS..
Romans 3:13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Speaking of deceiving and bitterness, the deceiver on the forum unfortunately gave many times James 3, as an example of sinning, how no man can control his tongue.
But Romans 3 shows no man sought God with the deceiving in them, not that they would not change when the Shepherd came to seek them Himself ( giving His Holy Spirit into them to speak truth with and all malice is put away then)
Ephesians 4, compliments James 3, corrupt communication is ended, now we use GRACE for the edifying of the hearer through Christ, AS ALL BITTERNESS MALICE AND EVIL SPEAKING IS PUT AWAY...
Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Romans 3, testifies how the poison of asps is under the worlds lips, and why does the deceiver try vainly to say we still have our tongue full of deadly poison ?
Out of the same place cannot proceed both ( sweet words and bitter envying ) both sweet water and bitter, this way of thinking is devilish as told, there they have CONFUSION AND EVERY EVIL WORK....
James 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
James 3:9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
James 3:14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
So Gods way is peace and holiness instead with all men, being dilligent to not fail of that grace of God through the root of BITTERNESS springing up in us, ( many are defiled through this on earth) and the fornicator profane person sells their right away..
Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
The righteous does not do as the fool to sin.
The sinners are the ones in BITTERNESS, being without the Holy Spirit of the Lord in them..
Proverbs 14:9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.
10 The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.
The testimony of God goes on, how mans envy is the rottenness of their bones.
How man is in the GALL OF BITTERNESS ( and bitter envying ) as their heart is not right in the sight of God and they boast they automatically are granted forgiveness for this evil..
Proverbs 14:30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
Acts 8:21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
So much for the secret counsel of the wicked, they are workers of iniquity ( believers in the heart to unrighteousness/sin)
The tongue they openly say is full of deadly poison of asps, they use like a sword, to shoot bitter lying words, ( no love of the truth) to shoot at who they deny ( the perfect ) and FEAR NOT AS TESTIFIED..
Psalm 64:2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of THE WORKERS OF INIQUITY:
3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even BITTER WORDS:
4 That they may SHOOT AT SECRET AT THE PERFECT: suddenly do THEY SHOOT AT HIM, and FEAR NOT.
They try to show offence on them for the words that describe their wickedness, but they are the FILTHY DREAMERS, as they SPEAK EVIL OF DIGNITIES, FEEDING THEMSELVES WITHOUT FEAR
Jude 1:8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and SPEAK EVIL OF DIGNITIES.
Jude 1:12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, FEEDING THEMSELVES WITHOUT FEAR: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
Jude 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

Wow Adam, after reading your awesome post, I felt the conviction of your teaching from the Bible, His WORD now flesh (not you), that is by the Father's set apart Holy Spirit (that is not another diety as false teachers David and rsvp teach. lol) now that He (Messiah) has acsended to heaven, convicted that I have been joining in on the 'deadly poison of asps' coming from the mouths of the wicked on this forum, realizing by using their same tactic type of 'words' against them (as a lesson) just will not work because their hearts of 'unrighteousness/sin' is so deep in 'iniquity/lawlessness' that it
would make no change!!!

Guess I’ll have to select a topic for a new thread refuting another of Flat Earth Teddy’s false teachings—which will it be, he has so many to choose from.
Let’s see.
Shall I post something on Flat Teddy’s false teachings against the Trinity OR his false teaching against the eternality of hell (Flat Teddy thinks hell is your grave), OR shall l talk about Flat Teddy’s “you can loose your salvation” false teachings OR Flat Teddy’s false teaching the sabbath OR ELSE you are bad and you be bad enough for serious punishment !!

Does admitting that I think I am hot perfect, show my tongue tamed ?
Humbling is not in considering we are perfect, or imagining we are, it is in fearing God and living in hope, nothing to be moved by strife makers, not upset by them in anything at all, and also, maybe we are the strife makers ourselves, we will find out on judgement day, it is called peace, great peace and contentment which helps you avoid vanity.
Jesus Christ is love, love would seem pretty perverse to not have any ability given by God for even the Apostles to lay their lives down for others, as Christ did. If they do not struggle with giving their lives away, why do you think they struggle with all other self seeking sins, that are much lesser than loosing your life, this is why the greatest love is to lay your life down, surely even a scorner cant answer how those it is testified who had the greatest love to lay their lives down, struggle with loving their neighbour at all times as themselves when they died for their neighbours welfare as Christ did with Christ in them ?
I don't know if you understand the question or just prefer to ignore and dance around in a mock.
But the Apostles it is proven had the greatest love, all layed their lives down for the Gospel and for their brethren, so how on earth did they who have the greatest love, not have love at all times to love always their brethren, without sinning against them ? How can they have the greatest love, and at other times have no love, how does a mind imagine things work forwards, then reverses to go completely backwards?
How does it make any sense to think they struggled and could not do the things they would ?
How then did they have no struggle at all to have the testified greatest love as all did, and all gave their lives away to the death for another ?
How can you have the greatest love, and at the same time struggle with loving and doing well and instead of loving be hateful ?
I wont give up on David, the same as I would not give up on myself. I think nothing of myself, if God does not care, that's when we are in trouble. If something bothers David or anyone in life, I understand, many things have bothered me too.
That was the purpose of the bitterness thread, when love has waxed cold, bitterness replaces it, and which of the bitter people have love as the disciples of Christ had, to all lay their lives down for one another. Instead there is the predicted rejection of the word of truth and love, and the choosing of self comforting words and the pathway that deceives ourselves.

Adam, what do you mean when you say you’re “not perfect”?
Does that mean you confess your sins each day as commanded by our Lord? Or do you just make “mistakes”, like some in the Holiness Perfectionism churches claim ? They no longer sin, they say, now they just makes “mistakes”

Adam I agree with your sentiments about love but you seem to miss the main point concerning why they gave up their lives.
Yes, they loved the brethren but they sometimes suffered persecution by false brethren. False brethren have helped put men of God to death since the beginning when Cain killed Abel.
Jesus also died at the hands of false teachers who falsely convicted Jesus of blasphemy. False teachers then forced Pontius Pilate to order Jesus’ death on a cross.
But if you’re willing to chat, I would welcome that

LD reply: The Bible says ALL people, which includes the apostles, struggle with the sinful nature. That’s why the most righteous of men (Job, Noah, Daniel and even Paul) had to confess their sins. They didn’t confess sin because they wanted to keep on sinning. They confess sin because sin was still alive in their human natures.
The sinful human nature cannot please God. For example, we are commanded to love God with ALL our hearts, with ALL our souls, with ALL our strength, with ALL our minds and with ALL our hearts. The Bible says NO ONE can do any of that perfectly ALL the time but that’s what required if you want to be Holy like God.

David! Why do you do this, being so disrespectful of Adam while at the same time implying not to be??? You read into his statements, all because you think you know where he is going with it! You make the most of his UK English to twist what he actually clearly says to me and probably others!
