I need help with this passage

Hello my fellow brothers and sisters.

I know that we are to take care of our bodies because it is the temple of the Lord. However, reading the following passage makes me wonder if our Lord God will return with a tattoo on his thigh:

Rev. 19:16

On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Can you help me understand it...Thank you in advance for your help.

God Bless,

Zoe

a lot of people see this as a tattoo.

The question I'd ask you is, what difference does it make?

well first of all, no need in asking so harshly. if you don't want to answer the question, then don't. what do you accomplish in asking me a question in such a manner? my brother, leave the question for someone else to answer.

Thank you and God Bless,

Zoe

Praise the WORD of GOD, WHO is the KING of kings and the LORD of lords, JESUS CHRIST our SAVIOUR. Peace and Love with True Faith be to the saints of GOD.

Sister Zoe to answer your question,

It's not clear to me if the NAME, "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS, shall be written on the LORD'S actual thigh or on the thigh covering portion of HIS clothing (Vesture).

But one thing I think we can be sure of is that the Writing is From Heaven and not Earthly.

Also, I don't think brother Bush256 was trying to be rude or harsh. I think he may have just been saying something like, "Let's just rejoice that the LORD is coming back." :applause: :dancingp:

In the love of CHRIST, :glow:

I tend to think of the passages in Revelation more symbolically, like in the parables in the Bible. Maybe those words on his legs have some cultural significance (not the words themselves, but the placement, I mean). The way I picture this passage, I envision a king wearing a cloak, with words written on the cloak and clothing covering his legs.

thank you Steve, Thaddeus, and Spri.

My brother Thad, I appreciate the way you explained it to me. You're a great teacher. I know you're gonna be a great husband and father some day. I really respect you. God Bless you.

My brother Bush, whether he meant to be harsh or not, needs to work on how to explain things in a more gentle, biblical and respectful manner.

God Bless,

Zoe

thats alright,i go by steve or steven,The book of revelations is generally considered to be the most symbolic book in the bible,I agree with whats already been said, and i would add that king of kings written on the robe would perhaps signify something like a military rank on a uniform, king over all kings, none higher! The same goes for the thigh signifing strength, none stronger,or more powerful! As for the tattoo thing, well who knows?

Praise the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Thanks for your kinds words Zoe, to GOD be the Glory. Though sometimes my zeal for the truth will show up as you see with all of GOD's sevants in the Scriptures. Even Meek and Lowly JESUS WHO turned over the tables of the moneychangers and said to the hypocrites "How can ye escape the damnation of Hell"...Calling them serpents and a generation of vipers. But HE Still loved them. Amen.

Praise the LORD!

In the love of CHRIST,

Thaddeus
