Posted : 9 Jan, 2021 11:09 AM shouldn't we say goodbye to earthly riches and put our heavenly riches first? how do we become rich toward God? First, by sacrificial giving to those in need (Luke 12:33, 18:22; 1 Timothy 6:17-19). Also, by trusting in Jesus for every necessary thing (Revelation 3:17-18). we can't obscure the fact that earthly riches often keep us from going after heavenly riches as we should. Paul wrote: But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. (1 Timothy 6:9) Most of us are afraid of poverty; we should be afraid of wealth Post Reply

Now we can remember we are following the Gospel of Christ and the new covenant, not following eye for eye as Samson's time, or any of the time where people lived by the sword, for the sword of the Spirit came to earth, which is Christ in us. That way, is as having nothing, no need to be confused peeps, the scriptures are clear for us as we will be judged by them soon,( the rich are the opposite way then, as having everything, but really having nothing , as rich, yet making many people poor).. 2 Corinthians 6:10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. The same again for the Apostles, why did they not need to provide for their journey or take no thought for our life / Because that is not faith..
